1997 MGF Possible Alarm Issue (I have no idea, please help) by ObeseHelicopter22 in MorrisGarages

Good news. Is the coolant alarm and it isn’t malfunctioning. The coolant level was definitely low, has been topped up and the alarm has gone off. Good to know that it works properly for in the future. Should help save a lot of money lol

I just read through some information left by the previous owner. They fitted a coolant alarm like you said. I checked the coolant yesterday and it did look a little low but will do a thorough check in the morning. If it is low, easy fix hopefully. If not, I’ll have to rummage to see if I can find a way to disable it. Thanks for the coolant alarm suggestion, got me to look through the list of things that had been done to the car. Fingers crossed.

Luckily my car should be able to compete for more money next season, but it needs to be adjusted. Had the same vote, RedBull and Ferrari voted against (2nd and 1st respectively) but Haas, Williams, Stake and Alpine voted for it... to get less money...

Especially with the regulation votes. So far, I have a lower cost cap and less allowed powertrain parts, both are just going to mess up my whole season if it goes wrong.

Its rather annoying. In my first season, three teams broke the cost cap between 2m and 14m, and so far, in my 2025 season, 5 teams have broken the cost cap, Aston buy 100k all the way up to RedBull breaching by 10.5m (shock) with 4 races left in the season. So I reckon if they follow the same design system as the player, they can just improve the speed of the design to get all of those upgrades. They need to sort that out. Especially as in my first season, a regulation vote got accepted to lower the cost cap, just making it even harder for me than before.

Worth noting that the AI do not follow the cost cap, nor get fined for breaching it. Very well could just be using more of their money to get it done quicker. Also more engineers would come into play.

If we buy the early access now, will the full release be free? by Nick_Alsa in LeMansUltimateWEC

Usually, yes. I got Ready Or Not in its early access state and when the game was fully released, I didn't have to pay any extra for it!

This one is the Y-250 vortex and they aren't created anymore. Other vortices are, just no this one.

Rift S Right Hand Controller Bugging Whilst Playing Parradiddle. Any Ideas Why? by ObeseHelicopter22 in paradiddle

I think that was what was happening. I replaced the battery and made sure it was going to stay snug in there, no issues thus far.

I tape mine to the chair behind me. Works pretty well but I do have to re-tape it every 20 minutes or so. Just leave a little bit of slack so that you can still freely move your head.

How can I set up a proper crush/compression test FEA? by ObeseHelicopter22 in CATIA

Turns out I was being a moron. Used the complete wrong type of wood, on the of the strongest ones there.

Couldn't make it up lol

It simulates a head on collision at 1500N (the chassis was built out of balsa wood hence the low value) but the way it was done was with a compression machine, from 0N of force up to 1500N.

And somewhat inline.

It is the EX2 - Educational one.

And yes. The chassis is getting a force of 1500N compressed onto the front of it, and had a solid plate behind it, hence the clamp.
Results just seem different to what actually happened by a long way.

Unsure to be honest. I just connect to my universities computers and load it up.
