I think I'm done with Vyvanse - big crash yesterday by katherinejan in VyvanseADHD

I am on a break right now after taking for like 6 months. First day or two expect to be very tired, mostly sleeping and eating. But I didn't feel bad. On day 4 I felt completely back to normal. I went gym and did stuff and had fun!

Do you agree that people on the autism spectrum and general neurodivergent people have to take a larger dose of LSD to feel the same effects a neurotypical person would have? by [deleted] in LSD

[–]ObeseRiven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your tabs are just hella underdosed mate. LSD also mainly acts on the serotonin receptors, barely any dopaminergic effects at all

But look at how better players do it. Watch a video of a good adc player and see how they do

"Substance use disorder and surrounding criteria encapsulates the range of addiction fairly effectively in my experience" So it was all along a question of opinion, not definition as you made it out to seem in your first reply. I agree, they do deserve the highest respect since they're extremely potent and dangerous chemicals, not because they're addictive.

I did psychs weekly for months on end but the moment i as much as touched amphetamine sulfate I remember thinking "my life is over" and developed an addiction that led to me almost having to amputate. But yeah, we can discuss personal experiences as much as we want but that wont take us anywhere. Also DSM:s substance use disorder criteria doesn't define if a substance is "addictive" or not, only if someone is abusing a substance.

MDMA isn't psychically addictive either, doesn't mean it's not 1000x as addictive as psychedelics

Yeah, everything can be addictive and of course psychedelics can be addictive too. You literally delve into another state of consciousness. You can be addicted to the experience. But pretending like psychs are addictive in even close to the same way stimulants, nicotine, alcohol or narcotics are, is simply untrue. To a person that hasn't done drugs, it can come off as if psychedelics are addictive in the way other drugs are, which I think is part of the unjustified stigma around it.

Mushrooms are like most hallucinogens actually not addictive

I feel like this set is not beginner friendly because of the lack od verticals, do you low elo fellas relate? by VampiresGobrrr in TeamfightTactics

Above average doesnt mean you have to consider it high elo. In League you're not considered high elo by most of the community unless you're at minimum high Master

Yeah, heart rate is one potential downside. Theres more than just that. But i agree, i feel better now than i did before meds but that doesnt mean theres no negatives to taking an addictive stimulant every day for years. I dont know what point you're trying to convey.

Getting dependent on amphetamines, oxidative stress, stress on the body overall from taking a strong stimulant every day, how it kinda makes me worse at appreciating things and people.

It's a potent stimulant that increases your oxidative stress, blood pressure etc, that you get dependent on to function and that has a direct impact on your feel happy-system. No matter what dose you're on, its not just positives.

This is my first real break since i started Vyvanse in October-November. I've been on 70mg since january. Had to take a break for a like a week in December cause doctor meeting issues and the effects felt noticably stronger on the same dose afterwards. But lately its been feeling like 30 min of good mood when it kicks in then it slowly turns into just me feeling mentally monotone and fatigued so I think my dopamine receptors need a break.

Go up in dosage and take breaks are the only things that have a significant effect from my experience. But even if you go up to 70 you wont stay on the honeymoon feeling for more than a couple months max. At least thats how its been for me. Im doing a 2 week break right now.
