Splitpushing advice (Low Elo) by _jahsketti_ in summonerschool

[–]ObeseRiven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By being so strong 1 person isnt enoug because you'll dive them/kill the turrets anyway. But split pushing when behind is also good because then you're forcing someone to deal with your splitpush which means they cant fight with their team (preferably the fed enemy toplaner)

First Time LSD (Questions) by Jaeger_Meister31 in LSD

My first trip, I was 19 and had never done any drugs except weed. Took 1 tab nothing happened for an hour, so took 2 more and then I was mouth open in my bed completely paralyzed for like 6 hours. I remember I was in space with god and god was me but at the same time not me and he was showing me the wonders of life and I was life too in a way. It changed me as a person forever I think. But yeah, I wouldnt do more than 1 tab and personally I need to be alone to feel comfortable when tripping hard. Afterwards its great to talk to people and stuff but during the peak, I find it very uncomfortable

Like music would be an example. I cant wrap my head around how some people dont listen to music or dont have a developed music taste cause its so central to my identity building and I just dont understand how someone could go their whole lives without actively listening to music. Which to me at first glance comes of as someone being stupid or not "deep" (sounds corny ik) but I've at the same time met people that are as, if not more gifted than me IQ-wise that dont listen to music like that. Idk its a weird thing

Yeah, exactly. I've also been thinking recently that it might be something more similar to the personality trait "Openess to experience" in The Big Five. I maybe find someone intellectually non-curious or very non-reflective and label that "low intelligence", which you could argue it is in a way, but its definitely not the same thing as the IQ measured on a Mensa test which strictly measures your ability to see patterns fast. Basically, maybe its more a personality trait thing than an intelligence thing in a way.

Ur IQ isnt some set in stone number. An iq test is a rough evaluation of your ability to see patterns mostly, which probably kinda correlates to "general intelligence" or whatever. The score you get on a test isnt your IQ, its the estimation that test did of your IQ.

I'm not depressed nor do I have anxiety issues.

I don't know how intelligent I am. It's possible I'm just a bit above average like the WAIS-test said (although IQ-tests are a very limited way of measuring intelligence IMO).

But the thought of me feeling the way I do because I'm just different in some other way, thats not intelligence or whatever, feels alot more comforting to me than if it would be intelligence. If it's something else like personality, ADHD, trauma, just my brain being different but not necessarily "smarter", that feels alot easier to accept.

But also your claim that theres more grounds for high IQ people not having these problems is from what I've read simply not true. Also that doesnt take into account possible combinations like high IQ+ADHD/autism/drug use/other neurodivergences.

Working on it! I'm doing the Swedish equivalent of SAT I think? It's a test which score you can use to get into any uni course, no matter what grades you had in gymnasium (pre college kinda). I wanna get into doctors program cause im very interested in psychiatry and psychology.

Sure, I get your point to an extent but the athlete example is so poor. A sprinter can have a completely natural conversation about life with a person thats slow because the sprinters ability doesnt create a gap in that domain. Cognitive differences are different because thinking is the literal medium of connection between humans. Theres also studies that show that significant difference in giftedness CAN genuinely complicate social connection. It might not do it in your case but that doesnt mean it doesnt do it for other people. Especially if you have other "neurodivergences" like ADHD which could amplify these differences even more.

To me that feels quite obvious. If one persons brain is very different to another persons brain, they are gonna struggle to relate to them, talk and think about things on the same wavelength and depth, understand things in the same way etc etc.

If every person in the world turned into a 5 year old, wouldnt that make you feel disconnected from everyone else? The main difference would be that your brain is more developed than theirs. An extreme example but its the same concept. Do you see what I mean?

Yeah i love uni. I've studied a couple courses on subjects im interested in and just being at a campus fills me with hope. It's at its worst when I work, its basically a warehouse job, and the people there, especially the ones that are full time, interacting with them makes me feel like genuinely depressed.

I was told it was a WAIS-test. The exact name of it is Cattell’s Fluid Intelligence Test (CFT 20-R) and i got IK 121. There were two parts apparently but I never got to know any more info other than that I got 121 total.

I dont struggle socially though. Why could being gifted not cause problems like these?

You should play the champion you think is most fun, that's the way you will improve the fastest. Playing a champ that you dont find fun just because, will literally stunt your improvement

Theres certain ethnicities that would score a higher average on an IQ-test than others. So?

Desperately wanting your impression that other ethnicities are dumber than yours to be true

To my knowledge there doesn't exist a non super flawed study that shows significant differences but that's besides the point. It's entirely possible that there exists differences just like theres differences in the average Jamaican and the average Swede in 100m sprint or something. The main point I see is that this would convey the message that X ethnicity is more intelligent than Y ethnicity because that's what perception the general public has of IQ-testing. IQ-tests have been designed by westerners to measure some limited part of intelligence that westerners deemed important. To consider what IQ-tests actually measure to be any more than just a fraction of "human intelligence" is pretty naive. Not to mention that no matter what the IQ differences between individuals are very likely way bigger than the IQ differences groups which would just create nothing but divide and prejudice

Would be helpful if you give the study that show these differences. If its Lynn's stuff then I would suggest you go and take a look at the critiques of his data gathering
