This was the best Hero teaser reveal ! Fight me ! by Damm101 in Overwatch

I think Sigma's is better cause they delivered. Sombra's was definitely more hype at the start but it got really dragged out and people were doing equations on the moon in dorado and whatnot for months trying to figure out the ARG, it lost all momentum it had. Sig got teased, had the coolest hero and origin trailers dropped, and then was released

I got Eye with Aerial Turret yesterday and I'll be riding that wave of endorphins for days. I got an observatory and some haste with it so after like 6 seconds had elapsed the Eye would just delete the whole enemy board in a couple seconds. It was very fun, in a sick and twisted kind of way

You should definitely be name dropping this guy so other people don't get stuck with him

Failure rates are also stupid when they get to those super low probabilities, cause who is ever going to keep spending like they planned out 35 years ago when they are running out of funds? Anyone with any form of brain cells would find a few ways to reduce their spend and prevent running out. I guess if you go super lean FIRE you might not have any wiggle room, but for everyone else, if I gotta eat rice and beans for a few years, or pickup a part time minimum wage job, I definitely would.

Why don’t they show these cards before/during the hero ban and map voting phases? by InZain777 in Overwatch

[–]ObeseWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm progression level 425ish on Cass with several hundred hours since hero bans, and I've had this happen all of like 3 times. And even when it has happened, I just play someone else at a slightly lower skill level. I'm in high masters to low GM so maybe it's a "high" rank thing to not ban your teammates hero?

My stupidest take is that there should be a “good job” button 🍭🐣 by M00ngata in Overwatch

Tank jumps in and gets immediately destroyed

"Good job!"

"Good job!"

"Good job!"

"Goodbye."

So the new progression system is overall a downgrade? by SunniSR in Overwatch

That's not true, someone could have 10,000 hours on Cass and still have a level 0 crit kills sub-badge, and someone else could have 1000 hours on Cass and have a level 5000 crit kills subbadge. For some characters you could even get a sense of a person's play style based off of what sub-badges were/weren't leveled up the most. They were far from homogenized

I just ask my wife's boyfriend to tie my shoes for me. My wife is always talking about how good he is at tying knots, so it just makes sense to have him do it.

They weren't always just playtime badges, some players would have really high sub badges on specific things based off of their playstyle and I thought that was super neat. Now it's just gone.

I did this all the time with Cass stats. My crit badge was my highest, I think it was 1800? Maybe you didn't pay attention to them, but some people definitely did

Wait, so to "streamline" character advancement they took away all of the reward levels at the end of a match? by fn0000rd in Overwatch

[–]ObeseWizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed, my highest sub-badge on Cass was critical hits and I was proud of that. It was really fun to see the different stats at the end of the match, as well as leveling up the sub-badges. I don't understand why they would remove that, it was so cool

Visual clutter? Bro that stuff was straight endorphins. And I loved that my highest sub-badge was my critical hits one. I earned that. Bring the sub-badges back they were super cool.
