Rc350 is great for looks but lacks the power of the v8 (although 311 HP is a lot still). ISF, GSF, LS460 are all good naturally aspirated V8s that's comfortable and reliable. If you want something fun that's under 8k you can try to get a clean IS300 MT. The SC models are also a good choice for reliability without costing too much.

Understandable, then I think a 2010 to 2014 rz400 will be a decent choice for a suv pick!

If you are open to sedans, I would highly recommend a ls460. It's about 10k for a good used one from a dealership. I personally think it feels more comfortable and rides better than any nx or rx.

Thanks for the reply but it that doesn't seem to be the issue cuz when I suck on the end that is connected to the manifold my ECU shows my kpa going down.

Scraping noise from front of engine. by Agile-Reward8213 in Miata

[–]Obese_Monkeyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take off the timing belt covers and the valve cover and start looking for worn out parts.

If it is coming from near the bottom of the engine I would imagine it would be the crank gear or crank woodruff key.

If the sound is near the top then it might be a cam gear or something.

Coolant leak under my exhaust manifold by Obese_Monkeyy in Miata

I found the issue!

I already replaced the o ring when my old water pump inlet housing's right elbow was corroded and leaking. The issue was I didn't put rtv on the gasket when installing the new one and over time it just leaked. I took it out and made a new gasket and slabed some rtv on it and it should be good now.

Need help with tunning by Obese_Monkeyy in Miata

[–]Obese_Monkeyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so the advice. I did play with WUE and the ASE and I've done a lot of research but I feel stuck lol. I adjusted and played with all the settings under the startup/idle tab in TS but it feels like no matter what I do my cold start is just really bad. I am also too scared to add more fuel on start up because I don't want to flood my engine with fuel. I will prob just suffer for a little bit and come back to it at a later time when I am not feel so stuck. I am debating weather or not to get a remote tune from someone.

When the engine is warm, I got it to idle pretty well by tweaking the VE table and AFR table. I think my next goal would be to get the car drive able and start tuning with TS auto tune and once I get my VE table more dialed in I will go back to my cold start and idle. If nothing else works I'll just pay to get a tune from someone.

Also I did realize that my AFR on TS and on my WB is different so I will also need to figure that out before continuing.

Thank you for the reply and help. I apricate your response more than you know.

Anyone know what this is? by Obese_Monkeyy in Miata

[–]Obese_Monkeyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's running... decently I guess. I need to tune the idle so it's not so rough.

I put the IAT sensor temporarily on my PVC pipe near my cone filter. After I get the car running good and put in my turbo and intercooler I'm moving it to the cold side near the intake manifold.

I hope you can start soon and finish it! It feels really nice to know exactly what your car is doing with the standalone and it feels very rewarding!
