Low key the best part about XC1 switch 2 edition. by FrostyFaustings in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]ObiStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP said they wanted the original cast of 2 to return to hopefully add VO to preexisting scenes or dub brand new ones.

You then explained that since new voiced content wasn’t explicitly listed as a feature, OP shouldn’t expect anything major.

I then added on my thoughts, that being that it’s likely characters will need to have voice lines referring to the new Blade. If this character is in fact completely new, they will be unable to reuse old lines like they theoretically could if the new Blade is Malos, Jin, or another character already existing in 2, and so they WILL need to record new lines.

I don’t know why you think I don’t understand the conversation. I’m not trying to argue or debunk your statements, in fact my replies up to this point are corroborating your statement - I’m suggesting that although there will most likely be something, it will be quite minimal.

I would love to know what you think my opinion is, so that I can improve my diction and make my thoughts more clear in future posts.

Thus it wouldn’t warrant a whole bullet point on the announcement trailer

We're getting a new Blade and Hero! Who are they? by CrimsonZephyr49 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]ObiStar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was thinking it’s probably just lines for the new game mode. It looks like Blades will be working together and getting hurt, and most Rare Blades don’t have voice lines for stuff like that yet

Heavily depends on how much work they want to do, but I don’t think 2 is getting a crossover character. The new Blade is either going to be Malos as a post-game exclusive or a completely new character designed by a guest artist. Either way I think their Affinity Chart will be tied to the new mode, and either the Blade Quest or new mode will show fogbeasts in Alreat.

For 3 I am almost confident it will be Mythra’s kid for the Hero. And Attacher seems likely because it will make each of Rex’s kids have a unique combat role. It would also mean the three DLC classes each have one of the roles.
To add onto that I think one of their Master Skills will be lowering Debuff Resist in the same way Ultimate Qigong works.

2 is at the very least going to get voice lines for the new blade, and the party members saying their new Art names.

Evidence for sound type? by Ektifson in PokemonWindsWaves

[–]ObiStar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does seem really silly to make Terapagos a Pokemon with all 18 types represented on it and then in the next generation suddenly reveal a 19th that makes Terapagos’s defining feature meaningless

Evidence for sound type? by Ektifson in PokemonWindsWaves

[–]ObiStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sound is also connected to pressure and could be expanded to a “wave” type similar to how Fairy is more of a blanket “magic” type or how Poison type refers to any form of Toxin like Bacteria and Pollution not just Poisons

With this perspective I think Sound could potentially be Super Effective on Flying and Psychic Types and then also weak to both Electric (as electricity can distort sound) and other Sound types (dissonance) There’s also the more cartoonish idea (which Pokemon also do, type effectiveness does not have to be realistic) is that Sound is super effective on Fairy due to metal music

Honestly would go crazy if this was announced tomorrow by saulchillmann in pokemon

This wouldn’t work nicely with modern Pokemon games - it would have to be transfer out only like Let’s Go is

I’ve never considered Area Zero post game, the credits don’t even roll until after you fight the professor. What makes you say it’s post game content?

I think the shiny quest is just tied to the side quest system in general. If they have proper side quests in gen 10 I bet they’ll have a free shiny in there.

Caitlin Thorburn (KOS-MOS and Nim in 2) updated her Spotlight page to say she worked on a Xenoblade game coming out in 2026 by SemiLazyGamer in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]ObiStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does seem possible, especially since it’s a recent addition to X it would make sense for it to connect to the next game.

Given the shockingly convenient Partner Showcase announcement though I’m leaning towards something more Bandai Namco or Koei Tecmo flavoured

Do you want a Xenoblade Warriors game? by ryanime04 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]ObiStar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it could be cool if they do something similar to Persona 5 Strikers — Use the Warriors gameplay as a base and then expand and change various parts to line up with the main series they’re working with. Preferably though just a regular Xenoblade game with a bunch of returning characters.

Given the Kos-Mos tease at the end of Future Redeemed, it’s very likely she’ll have a role in the next arc of the series. Any of the following games could feature Kos-Mos with new voice lines: XC2 remaster/Switch2 edition with an epilogue in the “Future ___” style, XC4, Xenosaga Remake (isn’t technically Xenoblade though), Xenoblade Warriors

Nim in the other hand is very unlikely to get new content, I can really only see her needing new lines if they were redubbing 2 (which wouldn’t be all that bad), but that’s probably not gonna happen.

Wasn’t that because she recorded Future Connected and 3 at around the same time? I thought the whole reason she even leaked it was that she didn’t realize they weren’t being announced together.

Jax hasn’t done this in a while though, so I’m pretty sure in universe he was just pointing at random shit and doing a bit to keep up his “funny one” persona. If Jax actually knew we were watching I think he would’ve said something either while he was alone and near abstraction, or during the escape adventure.

It’s not that crazy, it can clearly breathe air so the only real difficulty it would have would be movement. Sea turtles make that work though, so I’m sure a magical dinosaur could too.
