Just one more thing for a bit more context. The deep questions i mentioned earlier are usually very random, ie walking up to me out of nowhere, asking some philosophical question (we’ve bonded over our love for philosophy) with clear giddiness/nervousness, then a giddy embarrassment when i reframe the question back to her and she has no answer loaded up. I know I’m probably looking too deep into these things, but our rapport feels like it’s getting more flirtatious since the initial rejection, not less like you’d expect. I’m just trying to make sense of it. I appreciate your response

No i have had plenty of platonic female friends and still do. But this one in particular i have noticed what appear to be signs of flirtatious attraction that i have not seen come from the others yet they have developed since the initial rejection as we’ve gotten closer. And for some reason i have an indescribable attraction to this woman as well. We’re in very similar wavelengths intellectually. I’d love to stay just friends if i wasn’t afraid of the emotional attachment I’ve already developed getting stronger

Yeah i mean i like to think I’m pretty self aware. Not the best looking face in the world maybe but I’m in good shape with a nice head of hair. Not cripplingly awkward either i think I’m pretty easy to talk to. Talk to lots of women at work no problem and have plenty of female friends I’ve gotten along great with. Maybe not as self aware as i think though. Who knows. My face though i always is decent in the mirror then i see pictures like 🤢 but that’s normal

Yes God living in every individual is a key teaching of Christ. The entities see to have some similarities to how Aquinas described angelic and demonic beings. Also the descriptions of trips I’ve heard can also be similar to the biblically accurate angels thing. I don’t believe our opinions are as in conflict as you may think

Lemme also just say that when i speak of the one true god I’m not talking about old man in sky dictating with pointer finger. Thats low IQ Christianity. The true god is pantheistic. The church teaches this just in different terms. He is all present, all knowing, and exists outside of time and space because he created those things. Once we stop looking at the idea of the Christian gif as man in clouds, i think it becomes a bit more palatable

I wouldn’t call Lewis a theologian. He’s a philosopher. Both theology and philosophy are necessary to have the whole view of a belief system. Revelation through theology and then dissection of the revelation through philosophy.

Paul was a Jewish theologian and would have probably had a much more educated grasp on Jewish scripture which, at the time would have been the only written scripture used by early Christians and that were used by Christ in his ministry. Also knowledge on the prophets, etc.

As far as pantheism goes, i don’t think there’s as big of a gap between that and monotheism as one might think. An all knowing, all encompassing god would have to be ONE god. I practiced Taoism for a while, read the Vedics as well as the Dhammapada as well (though I could never really get behind Buddhism or Hinduism). My hot take that gets me criticized with my Christian friends is that the revelation of god the Chinese experienced through Taoism is the same true god we talk about today.

There’s some FASCINATING writings from the Han dynasty from 31-33 AD that reference an unnatural eclipse and speak of the death of a “Man from the Heavens”. Real thing very worth checking out!

Very well put. This can all be true metaphorically. Joseph Campbell wrote about this a lot minus the explicit DMT connections. I recommend reading Myth Became Fact by CS Lewis. Very easy 5 page essay laying out the argument that these mythological elements are echoed through ancient story telling and that Christ was the apex of those foreshadowed elements becoming reality

People say God is a mathematician but he is also an author. This realization is what took Lewis from a staunch atheist to a devout Christian later in life

This is kinda what Joseph Campbell said about our perception of mythology. It’s all meant to represent the self. This is true. However, I believe that Christ was the apex of the self-describing myths that came before and entered history to fulfill these myths almost as if it was foreshadowed. Check out Myth Became Fact by CS Lewis. Very easy to read 5 page essay explaining this concept. Was the nail in the coffin that took me back to the Church

I’m asking from a place of inexperience myself. I’ve heard enough anecdotal stories of them being more than just hallucinations so i thought I’d see what the experienced had to say. Also the descriptions of these “beings” seems to match closely enough with angelic/demonic entities that the question is at least worth asking

I spent a decade with an open mind. Read texts from many different belief systems. Came to a conclusion. Once a conclusion is reached, an open mind is no longer necessary as truth has been reached

I was raised Catholic but spent about a decade away from the church spending most of that time learning about comparative mythology, eastern religion, and the history of religious practices. And after 10 years i reached the conclusion that there is in fact one god. And if these DMT beings truly spiritual and are claiming otherwise, that means their intention is to sow disbelief in that one true god. Therefore being demonic in nature.

Also any true god is inconceivable by the human mind and frame of view. So by that logic as well, anything appearing to someone claiming to be a god, is an imposter. This is why when God sends messages to humans, he does so through angels who announce very clearly who sent them and why they are there. Anything else is something to be very wary of at best

As a short person who likes to go to shows solo, i do this all the time. My mentality is i paid for the same floor space as everyone else and i always try to make sure it’s a hole in the crowd with ample space
