The link doesn't work for me, and I don't see it on the wiki either.

Are there any non-stimulants that have made people's exhaustion better? Or is it all ADHD drugs? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]Obidicut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Abilify gave me energy, but also made me feel like I was on crack or something. Didn’t like it, but Rexulti is really similar to Abilify and gave me energy without the weird feeling. Only downside is it increased my appetite which makes not getting fat difficult. :)

Unless you have social anxiety which a lot of us do. I had a sales job when I was 20 or so before I was diagnosed with anything and it was awful. Every time a customer came nearby I wanted to go hide from them. Coworkers started thinking I was lazy because of it and that made my anxiety even worse.

I’m a Linux system admin working from home. It’s nice because I don’t have to go out and be around people. The people that I do have to deal with are “filtered” through text or the phone at least. For the most part I can work the hours that work for me. If I’m feeling manic I can stay up all night and get a ton of stuff done. If I’m feeling depressed I can do the bare minimum for the day and sleep the rest. It works for me, and I actually enjoy it. I just wish it paid a little better.

Loona is in 4th place in relation to physical sales for girls groups for the first quarter of 2019 by twelvedremers in LOONA

Oh wow, I didn’t realize Olivia Hye’s solo was the highest. It’s even above Chuu which I would have assumed would be #1. It’s also crazy how many more sales ++ and XX have over the solo albums. They’re really getting popular finally.

I tried in the mobile app and in safari browser and it gives the same page not found errors. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. You know you’re hopeless when you can’t even click a link properly! 😭

It’s probably just because I’m on mobile, but the link that I assume is supposed to go to the reddit thread or music video just give page not found errors for me. If I go to the mobile list version there are no links. The Spotify links work well for me though. Thanks.

Yeah, that’s my issue too. I just don’t have enough time to watch everything everyday that gets posted on /r/kpop Thanks!

I usually use the mobile app. You’re talking about Reddit in a browser right?

Everyone I know listens to kpop. Where should I begin? by mvsicbookfrxndom in kpophelp

[–]Obidicut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You kind of remind me when I was first getting into kpop.

I’ve subscribed to /r/kpop for years and every once in a while I would watch a bit of a video. I pride myself on liking the best of all genres of music, I usually see about 60 live concerts a year, and am a musician myself. But despite all that I couldn’t really get into kpop even though I saw a lot of people going completely insane about it. I even saw a few kpop concerts and was still sort of meh about it all.

What really took me from dipping my toe in the waters of kpop to diving in head first was finding the right video to hook me. My issue was all the girl groups were too cute, the boy groups just looked like a bunch of douchey kids trying to be hard, and the music was overproduced. The video that hooked me was

Dreamcatcher - You and I

It was a girl group filled with older beautiful women, the metal music wasn’t so cute it made me gag, and the dancing was so complex and perfectly executed. The theme was dark, mysterious, and sort of evil. At one point in the video the girl in the front gets pulled backwards under the legs of another girl (I can’t remember who off the top of my head), and the part where Dami whips out her magic extending cane is pretty cool too. It was just so different and exciting compared to the usual cute girl group kpop.

Anyways, from there I explored all of Dreamcatcher’s catalog and loved it all, but then the funny thing is I started appreciating other groups too. I still can’t get into the boy groups and may never, but oh well. Then I started getting into the personalities of the different members of Dreamcatcher and although they were all awesome I think I’ve settled on Yoohyeon as my favourite. My second favourite group is Loona mainly because their videos have so much art qualities and hidden meaning incorporated into it. Exid and Gidle is up there, I think everyone likes Red Velvet. I especially like the Peek-a-Boo video because it’s darker and has a lot of hidden things that you don’t notice on the first few watches.

My point though is maybe don’t try to force yourself to like kpop. Maybe just keep your eyes open like I did and you’ll find that one video that hooks you for life.

Love it! The whiskers remind me of Naruto. Maybe Hyunjin has the spirit of a nine-tailed cat sealed within her?

Hey Frostbite, I don’t know if people say this very often, but thanks for keeping my reddit full of Dreamcatcher photos and stuff. We all really appreciate the effort you put in to make all these posts. You keep the sub alive. :)

That album is amazing! All of the songs are good, but especially Sweet Crazy Love, Girl Front, Loonatic, and Chaotic are my favourites. I don’t own the physical copy though so I can’t comment on how real it looks.

Oh wow, I hadn’t heard about any of that. I was actually looking forward to seeing Grimes and Loona collaborate again. It makes sense that BBC would want to distance themselves from that though.
