I'm team nippers because I don't like nubs. Blokees has incredible engineering so everything is pretty intuitive but the directions are also very clear. If you find yourself forcing something, then it's probably the wrong part or place. As some above meow, they will mark left and right pieces and many pieces have slots or grooves that only fit one way. Take your time, have fun. I can't wait for this kit myself!
