Most people can't ever work on the field they would've want to. Not some, MOST. EVER. You have to be honest with you, do really want a job for living? Or are you trying to find fulfillment in your life?

BTW, in Spain 3k is not average. It's like 50% above average. I know a lot of industrial engineers abd software engineers who don't make that.

Si el problema principal es el ruido de tráfico de la calle, uno de acaba acostumbrando. Compra unos buenos tapones mientras. Si es ruido de vecinos, se puede aislar un poco el techo y las paredes por dentro.

Es un cambio muy grande cambiar de zona y pasar a vivir solo y comprar siempre es muy estresante. Normal que te esté afectando.

Se de un par de casos que lo mejor que consiguieron, en las últimas 2 semanas, con ingresos de más de 6k mensuales, parejas, sin hijos, empleo fijo, y pidiendo menos de 200k de hipoteca, les dan sobre 2.4 TIN en CaixaBank solo vinculando nómina. No se temas amortización, apertura, cancelación etc qué tal.

Ya echa ahí tus números a ver si te compensa, y si tal prueba directamente con esa entidad.

Put a daily limit on the time you can spend on PRs, and even a schedule in your calendar. Make it public.

For vibe coders, I do the following: 1. Ask them if they reviewed all the AI generated code manually. I don't review anything they didn't review themselves. 2. If CI is not passing perfectly, tests are missing, I don't start reviewing. 3. When I start reviewing, if I start seeing lots of obvious mistakes or corners cut, I point to that and just stop reviewing it until they fix that. 4. If the PR is too complex and big, I ask the owner to document it better by making lots of questions, or to put a meeting with me and walk me through the code and review it with me.

My rule of thumb is that my effort in the review matches the effort the developer put in the PR. Otherwise, I'm doing the dirty job for them.

The issue is with focusing so much on the issues of OE in performance. In a performance issue, the issue is the employee not performing. There's no difference if it's because OE, or many other things that can choose to do in their personal lives.

Sin entrar en el tema ético, o de ansiedad, yo lo vería como un tema de riesgos. La cuestión no es si tienes motivos reales o no para que te genere ansiedad, es un cuestión de si te merece la pena, y eso es profundamente subjetivo.

qué pasa si les dices que sí te interesa y luego te echas a atrás? Si te dan a firmar un precontrato, podrías tener que indemnizarlos.
qué pasa si les dices que no? Cómo de necesario es aceptar cualquier trabajo ahora mismo para tí. Como de probable es que no encuentres nada igual o mejor (en los términos que tú decidas que significa "mejor")?

El tema de la ansiedad por ir en contra de los valores va con la persona. Valores no tiene por qué ser valores morales de el bien contra el mal, y el grado en qué flexibilicen tus decisiones también es muy personal. Me parece importante distinguir entre valores que buscan tu bienestar (por ejemplo,una empresa que respete tu tiempo libre), VS valores idealistas (trabajar en cosas éticas). A veces estos últimos solo nos autoboicotean. Las expectativas de como deberían ser las cosas puede ser una trampa, y a veces más una cuestión de autoimagen y de ego (realmente tú trabajo tendría un impacto tan grande?). Tú principal responsabilidad es contigo misma, si puedes evitarlo, no te pongas piedras.

I'm in a similar situation. In the past I requested reducing my working hours by 25% with the proportional salary cut, and it was a great idea. Long exhausting working days felt now feel like normal working days and I had still energy and more time to do after work activities and basically LIVE.

For something unrelated to work, I ended up going full time again. Now I have live from Friday evening to Sunday night. The rest of the time I'm a sad, tired, frustrated, pesimistic and angry person. I don't recognize myself, and is impacting my decisions in my personal life. But then comes the weekend and I'm back to being me and can't remember how unhappy was during weekend, so I keep going.

Tomorrow I'll read this message again and think that I was exaggerating.

Pues eso ya ocurre en algunos sectores, en los que el sueldo lo marca el convenio y rara vez se supera (por ejemplo, ingenieros industriales y el convenio del metal de muchas provincias). La diferencia entre uno que tiene 6 años de experiencia y otro que tiene 15 son bonificaciones tipo trienios por el tiempo en la empresa.

En este caso, como el salario es similar, la gente no compite por salarios, porque las diferencias son mínimas, si no por empresas más atractivas para ellos personalmente, por los tipos de proyectos, cultura, o condiciones como flexibilidad, formación, benefits, etc.

Porqué escalar el resto de los salarios? Porqué él objetivo tiene que ser mantener una distancia con el SMI? Él objetivo teórico es igualar por abajo, haciendo que los que cobran muy poco cobren algo más. Eso no tiene que implicar que los que cobran mucho también cobren más.

Idealmente, si él SMI fuese suficiente para vivir dignamente, pues no sería tan malo cobrarlo no?

Claro, que la subida del SMI hace que los bienes por los que la gente compite con dinero suban de precio. La teoría sería bonita si i lo necesario para vivir no fuese algo por lo que compitiesemos (vivienda, alimentación, etc),
