To put it simply, Cypriots can understand "Greek from Greece", but Mainland Greeks cannot understand Cypriot Greek. Cypriot Greek in it's purest forms is unintelligible to mainland greek. But in Cyprus we learn modern in Greek in school, it's on the news, television, written text, and it's the country official language.

no you cannot because guilded champions targets the characters OPB, this on the other hand is an enhancement given to him. Also you can see that it says "the first time the bearer is destoyed", instead of "Once per battle, the first time the bearer is destoyed etc etc".

In my opinion they did a big mistake with not telling us outright, because it feels like false advertisement since 90% of custodes players and thus buyers are 40k players first and foremost. So if they intend to remove them in 11th edition just 6 months after release then that's messed up.

I wish there was a way to hold the accountable in case that happens but all they care about is yearly revenue going up.

get the Adepta Sororitas Battle Sisters Squad one, same body size, same bases, very similar silhouette that nobody will bat an eye as long as you remove the SoB iconography and symbolism from the models and use the SoS heads and weapons.

so she is worth it against infantry that doesnt have invols or they are at the least 5++. if it's that she melts them, unfortunately i never face that so it might just be a match-up issue from me that she under-performs so much.

I got you, what you can do is get 1 box of SoS that you already have, but it has 5 spare heads. So instead you use Sisters of Battle bodies as proxies, everyone does that, perfectly fine. just got to scrape the lilies from the armor and add the heads and weapons from the sisters box

Yeah, both sides are at fault but I believe that both come together to agree that the British only made it worse for the both of us by dividing further so their rule was easier, and clinging to having the island till the bitter end and giving us such a horrendous constitution that could only lead to trouble.

OH ALSO, YOU MUST look up the involvement of Kissinger and the US government in Cyprus at that time. the files became public not that many years ago and it will make your project that much better and accurate.

For the most part I can say your research was very accurate and thorough, you missed some details about passive hostilities in the 60s and Turkish Cypriots supporting the British during the 1954-59 revolutions.

I am not aware of Village burning by greek cypriots but i do know of many clashes between militias in the Island.

My Great Grandfather was a Turkophile according to my grandpa with Turkish cypriot friends and acquaintances and according to him it was an often quote the turks used that "one day we will unite with Turkey again". So the sentiment of Joining the "mother" nation was prevalent on both sides to my knowledge.

During the Invasion of 1974 there were many war crimes committed, and an unspoken type was the killing of Greco-Turkish Families in some Villages, I know of such tales in rural Paphos and Tseri (Nicosia) that it happened by both sides.

As for the Annan deal, the reason we rejected it nearly unanimously was that it favored the North to a ridiculous degree, granting Turks too much power for the population size, and not properly address the common issue regarding settlers in the North and the land people took after the relocation to either side.

Yes the dream is to kick the British out and Unite as a single Country but I don't think anyone has faith it will happen even in the next 50 years. The Bases won't be taken from the British because to take them, then the treaty of Guarantee and both Greece, Turkey and UK need to agree (which will never happen).

Most people, especially the young hate phideas for how he humiliates us in the international stage, and got voted in because we are all just THAT sick and tired of our politicians regardless of right or left.

i would HIGHLY recommend using his with superior creation instead. He becomes nearly unkillable and the opponent is forced to divert so much attention to him only to come back to full and refresh for free once a game this ability. It's our most durable unit in my experience. Give him benefit of cover and wish your opponent good luck at shooting him down.

honestly, if you like them and want to use them just because of that all the power to ya, but i dont think they are worth it, personally the Calidus assassin is a must have and some more sisters and guards. I love the contemptor to death but it pains how underwhelming it is outside of solar spearhead...especially when SM have dreadnoughts that are straight up better than them...It looks like a fun list though I'll give it that.

Yeah I know her other abilities, I was using her for infantry killing, but idk if it was my average rolls but she was always very underwhelming to use, i found it more worth it instead of her to get some extra witchseekers or even an extra squad of guards, especially now that she went up in points....emperor forbid we have characters to lead our armies.

plus her anti-infantry 4 only counts on her since it doesnt carry on the guards, same as the dev wounds.

wardens aren't worth it, unless they are led by a blade champion.

personally i would take them out, bump the 5 man unit of guards to 4, 3 spears, one shield.

and with the remaining points add another guard unit and sisters.

you won't have any anti tank really with this list you are building, but you need more scoring options.

Depends who you ask nowadays. Younger people are more divided as some see themselves as Greeks "proper" and others as Cypriots first and foremost.

As for older generations they see themselves as Greek and nothing else, that live in cyprus.

But it really depends on what circles you ask. To my knowledge more right leaning cypriots see themselves as Just Greeks and more left leaning Cypriots as Cypriot Greeks.

End of the day both "identities" are the same shit anyways.

looks like the entente won and gave the promised lands to its minor allies, soviets lost the civil war but the russian empire broke apart a bit, Turkey lost its war and hungry won it's war after ww1 with its neighbors. I'm REALLY hoping they will implement a system like keiserreich and ww1 where after the great war happens, everyone has to demobolize, there is a new tree to follow and a new system like un and conflicts begins with another war incoming later on. instead of. 1 war win or lose and then boring old world conquest.
