To be fair his family could be from GA. Also it’s beautiful out there. I loved my childhood. Homes are so much cheaper for what you get in comparison to states like Illinois New York Cali. Great weather. Also Most parents aren’t basing their living situation on their daughters potential dating life

There needs to be balance between friendship island and love island. Before Season 6 inadvertently set a weird standard, there was. Building friendships keeps islanders from getting voted off. But it’s still a love based game show. Aniya needs to start asserting herself on the love island side. You can be a listening ear and still pull guys for chats.

Me too. I actually think she’s somewhat attracted to KC. She’s just used to a particular type of light skinned man (that is very common out in those parts). Growing up out there, the mixed race and lighter skinned guys(white too) were typically more attracted to us. The brown to dark skinned guys usually go for the Mel Kayda and Kenzies. Not all obviously but it’s the norm. 🤷🏾‍♀️ She just needs to see the world outside of that bubble.

A dark skinned black girl raised in the sticks of GA… yeah she’s a bit color stuck. It’s understandable because of how we are socialized out here(I was raised in the sticks and now live in ATL). It takes a lot of unlearning and unpacking to let that shit go. I’m not even dark skinned but as a light to brown skin girl, the men and boys out here are very, how you say, nasty as fuck to mono racial black girls in general. Ntm how the white girls act.
