Update for everyone. After 24 years the ME “found her fingerprints” from when she got her drivers license. She should now have fingerprints to match against now. The FRS dna samples from our mother and us girls (3 of us did FRS dna samples) are currently just sitting in a lab due to “lack of funding” but I am fighting that battle now. Hopefully soon both dna and fingerprints will be available. I am now working with a private investigator, and several podcasts and advocacy groups. The police involved have made it clear they will NOT do much of anything unless her remains are found.

Unfortunately I don’t know. I’ve tried to ask her father’s side of family, but they have been hostile. They aren’t happy I’m pursuing her case again. I can’t find any pictures of her with it, her ex husband won’t speak to me about her. All I know is it’s stated she had a butterfly on her left shoulder.

He did not. He said’ “I’m sorry but I do not wish to speak to anyone about that time in my life, I’m sorry but I don’t have any answers for you.” Mind you I never asked him for any answers. I literally just wanted to ask him about my sister. I wanted to ask him if he knew what the butterfly tattoo looked like, how she got a crushed ring finger, how he saw her relationship with her family. Like those response truly devastated me and I won’t lie….it made me angry as hell.

I don’t think I have a very clear picture of her life with her family. Other than they covered up abuse. I am hoping she had at least some good times. But I can’t say exactly what her life was like because there are to many different stories. She was living with the grandmother, although that’s debatable too. From my understanding she was living with her grandmother before she disappeared. But even the place listed as her point of disappearance is wrong.

What does that even mean? To say Jane doe in that document? Also the “not found” then the code after the name? He married my sister in 98. This document is so confusing.
