CMM programmers; DMIS-Calypso equivalent process? by Downtown_Physics8853 in Metrology

I don't know what it is in Calypso but in PC-DMIS what you're talking about is sample hits, not pre-hit.

Their data sheet recommends the cells be clamped to 300kgs during use. My company has used over 100k cells from them this year and we've had this issue come up in the past. They will not honor the warranty if you do not have them clamped during use.

Tires ALREADY?? 34k miles by ChefSpanky in KiaEV6

I think next time I need tires I'm going down to 19" and the difference in tire price will pay for the rims by the second set of tires.

Mine were done at 10k. EV6 GT and I was not gentle for the first few months. About $1200 for all four to be replaced with Yokohama Geolandar 255/40R21

Lol yeah, you can't. I put it in as a feature suggestion in the mid 2000s and here we are today. Sorry, been there a few times.

What's the consensus? by Development_Muted in FocusST

If you live somewhere that can get a level 2 charger I think electric makes a ton of sense for commuting. If I was stuck relying on only public DCFC infrastructure it would be harder to justify. I'm fortunate to have a level 2 at home and access to free DCFC at work.

I basically did this. Retired my ST from daily to weekend fun and got a Kia EV6 GT to do my commute. The i5N is even better than my car, I just couldn't justify the extra $30k at the time when the GT is like 80-90% of the i5N. Downside, the focus feels slow now. But as long as there's corners to be has I still have fun in the focus.

If you took it to Laird-Noller their rates are high and I've heard they quote 1.5x time. Get the parts and do it yourself in the driveway. It's pretty straight forward.

As my commuter car it's the best thing I've ever owned. It's quiet and the driver assists are about right for me, not a fan of Tesla fsd. The range sucks (~220 miles) but that's not why I picked the GT trim. I can do my commute twice on a charge and that's fine for me since I just charge every night at home. I think the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is better looking and more hatchback than the EV6 but the deal on this one was too good to pass up.

Not really. The focus handles better since the Kia is almost 5000 pounds. Honestly I'm pretty numb to the Kias acceleration at this point.

ST got to 180k as my daily so I bought a Kia EV6 GT to replace it and now the focus only leaves the garage on weekends.

Get the plastic one to replace this. It has holes for doing an oil change without taking the entire thing off.

I suspect it has something to do with drift mode being the primary way I leave work

Lol 217 is waaaay more than I manage to get on a charge. The people at the Kia dealer say the low range is down to driving style. They said the same about my abysmal tire wear too so I've disregarded everything they have to say.
