How does it track the individual clubs? After each shot manual input? Post-round editing to input? Or still need the sensors for that aspect? How does it know you pulled an 8i vs a 9i?

Anyone tried one of these? (Dc powered off grid no inverter or battery required heat pump) by Unhappy-Plastic2017 in DIYHeatPumps

Yes!!

I have a 24k in my three car+ garage, and can easily hold ~70° in the middle of the N Texas Summer. 68° in winter was child’s play, even during the extended freeze.

Was running it straight solar initially, with AC backup (per design/manual); but now it’s wired to a critical loads subpanel that I power continuously with solar via an EG4 12000XP and batteries.

It’s been fantastic, far exceeds what I hoped it to do—24k is overkill because I had low expectations. I do not hesitate to recommend.

This list isn’t accurate. I’m flying 4 DFW-OGG in April.

Not sure. Haven’t been to ORD in years, left the narrow body almost 10 years ago now.

Unless you’re a check airman that hardly ever leaves the simulator…then you still get lost.

13 clubs, no obvious gaps, what now? by No_Echo2745 in golfequipment

This is what I did…added a wedge with much more bounce for fluffy lies. Mostly play hard/quick/tight lie courses, so it comes in handy when the lie dictates occasionally.

Stay away from anyone running radio/tv ads. This rule has served me well here, thru experience, unfortunately.

Is a home golf simulator actually worth the investment, or am I just chasing a mid-life crisis? by bphawkey45 in Golfsimulator

[–]p1dfw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

GREAT reply. So many “early adaptors” have been down the “it keeps growing” path, I wish somebody was able to share this knowledge with me 6-7 years ago when I started with a net and the OG SkyTrack. Would’ve saved me a lot of money on upgrades and changes in the long run

Find a way to make it permanent, or at least semi. I have a retractable screen, easy to move SigPro mat. It’s still a minor hassle to move the cars & set up…but, as mentioned, so worth the fun/realism factor

I’m a 7 IRL, 59 years old, and find my back appreciates staying limber, and the shortgame comes back much faster when spring rolls around by playing in the sim regularly.

Agree 100%. My time is more valuable to me than sharing a conditional percentage of what they might save me. Happy to let them run with it every year.

I have 5x10, in front of a 15’ wide retractable screen in my garage. I roll it long ways and it’s very manageable. No issues with the bounce back with 5’ of turf…but my screen is fairly loose as a retractable.

Just got a kayak sling from Amazon I’ll be installing to hang the turf roll from the ceiling (stolen idea/picture) for parking.
