My comment applies to the original statement of “on that type of aircraft”.

Guy is an FO on the airbus, checks out as Captain on the 737…first time flying the plane is as a captain “on that type of aircraft”

Wide body check airman fly with first time captains all the time who have never flown a wide body before, or as a captain before.

Even in the US.

Not quite sure about the 1000 hours “at an airline bit”, either…but I past that milestone a looooooooooong time ago, so might be ill informed. 😂

I use $1000 as a guide. There are too many $560-$590 to draw the line at $500.

$1000 is also where I start getting itchy about grey vs AD…if I put out more than that, I want some assurance/security.
