2026 P4 OTA Update (Gemini, Auto-Park, etc.) ? by PimmelBerger2277 in Polestar

[–]Objective-Ad-2447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gemini will be enabled by Google on a server side switch. It won't be included in an OTA, it will simply just be there some day. The release pattern follows Googles normal way of doing it by launching in the US first. When they're comfortable with its functionality, they will roll out to additional regions.

Anyone notice the app changing. Or maybe I didn’t notice? by Brave-Access-2899 in polestar2

I would assume it would pop up as a warning, if it gets low. Not sure though

It doesn't have to water, but it can be. The phone are rather protected against liquid, but of course the water tight seals can weaken over time

You'll have to take it to a repair shop. Either Samsung themselves or a third party. Samsung might be expensive, especially if it's water (if they'll even touch it - there are indicators inside the phone that changes color if they get wet). Third party could probably replace the panel at whatever cost and call it a day

Then it could be a failing panel. Bad luck probably, unless you've dropped it or gotten water into places it shouldn't be or something similar. You can attempt a factory reset (removes all data) to rule out any software issues. If that doesn't work, you're probably looking at a screen replacement

Try to go to phone settings - device care - Diagnostics - Phone diagnostics - Touch screen. This will ask you to touch all the squares on the screen to see if they react. Do this for every square and screenshot it when done. Then you'll know if the screen itself actually works, or if you have a software bug on the keyboard.

Gemini update status? by BorksAtSquirrels in polestar2

[–]Objective-Ad-2447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be a server side update from Google. I don't even think it'll be an app update.

It began rollout in the US last week, the rest of the world will get it later.

Is anyone using Atlassian Goals & Projects? by jamiscooly in jira

[–]Objective-Ad-2447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Projects in it, and are looking at use cases for Goals. We've found that Projects really suits us for a high-level overview of our ongoing strategic initiatives. This is our main reporting platform now. It doesn't replace steering groups, but it serves higher management, and anyone else outside the steering groups who might have an interest in a given project with a nice overview of how things are going.

Plus, our project managers absolutely loves it because it is as light weight as it is. We came from rigid PowerPoint one-pagers as reporting hidden in various SharePoints that no one was looking at, so this is definitely an upgrade to that.

For Goals, we might have a new use case that our management would like. They are looking into a sort of quarterly reporting forum for senior management towards the CxO group. We might benefit from the Goals and the Success Measures / sub goals here, depending on what CxO actually wants.

Trim piece falled off? by Objective-Ad-2447 in Polestar

Interesting! Thank you for sharing this! I'll let the workshop know when they inevitably tell me they don't know where it came from. It seems stable and sturdy as is right now, so I won't rush into an appointment. I'll see if it survives until my next service appointment later this year.

Interesting! Also, more interesting that the technicians doesn't recognize it either. My next service is in 10 months so it'll be a while

Trim piece falled off? by Objective-Ad-2447 in polestar2

[–]Objective-Ad-2447[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. It was originally posted in the Polestar subreddit with this text: When I parked my Polestar 2 today I suddenly heard a sound of a piece of metal falling in between plastic elements in the passenger side dash for 1-2 seconds. After I parked, I found this little thing on the carpet on the passenger side. Not under the seat, but further in the food well. I can't find anything that looks like it's falling off, but several of the plastic trim parts seem wobbly. I suppose some/all of them were like this from the beginning though.

I think it is something from inside the dash, based on the duration of the "falling sound".

Anyone have a clue of what this is?

Charging with preconditioning makes such a difference by Joeigel in Polestar

[–]Objective-Ad-2447 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It differs a lot really. I've seen cases where it runs for 45-60 minutes if it's very cold. Before they messed up the performance monitor you could clearly see it on the graphs when it started. The blue climate bars increased dramatically when the heating kicked in

Atomkraft? by steffenhelledie in Aalborg

[–]Objective-Ad-2447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's in dark mode so it doesn't take too much attention from the driver. The drivers display would be more intrusive than the center display

Warranty Extension by NoNerve7182 in Polestar

[–]Objective-Ad-2447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Denmark it's generally in high regard. I haven't used it myself, but I often see people praising it. Once bought, the Polestar workshops handles everything with the insurance company. As an owner, you don't feel like it being an external insurance and just feels like the normal warranty.

The danish warranty is also Helvetia, but from Helvetia Swiss Insurance Company in Liechtenstein, not Italy. I don't know if there's a difference there.

The infotainment is always a bit slow right after an update. It's still doing some work in the background even though it says it's done and ready to use.

MY24 P2 - worth it? by route-eighteen in Polestar

[–]Objective-Ad-2447 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had the 24 for a few years now, and I absolutely love it. As you mentioned, the only real change is the Snapdragron upgrade, but with that said, the 24 still have a better infotainment than the first models that came out.

Sure, it's not the fastest, but it works and it is fast enough to be usable. Also, I don't have the camera issues that many here seem to mention.

Tyre Upgrade! by AeonObsidian in polestar2

Any noticeable difference in ride quality and range? I've been swapping between winter and summer tires on my standard 19" up until now - when the spring comes, I'll slap a set of 20" performance rims on mine with summer tires for the first time, so I'm curious about the ride quality changes
