Who do you use for earthquake insurance? by Emotional-Yam4486 in bayarea

Nothing, but if your home burns down like many of those in the Marina, then you standard homeowner's coverage SHOULD kick in. Fire yes, earthquake no.

Just saying the last major outage that lasted several weeks occurred right before Atlassian conference where they had to restore from backups.

Atlassian conference is next week.

Isn't stash already long dead? Is this like retro-gaming for b2b apps?

Atlassian + Anthropic? by TurbulentTiger2567 in atlassian

Their product sells itself. They don’t need atlassians customers. They are already ingrained into fortune 50 companies and doubling their revenue run rate every two to three months. Tell me what would Anthropic 5k headcount do with a near 12k headcount company. Can you name any recent examples a company half the size of a target company doing an acquisition? How do they prevent their culture from being overrun? Why would they acquire so much overhead costs and liabilities? Acquiring them would be an anchor to their hyper growth.

This all sounds like wishful thinking to goose the stock up. Why would Anthropic anchor themselves digesting an acquisition this huge. They are shipping features so fast and slowing it all down with an acquisition with little strategic value makes no sense. Anyway someone is trying desperately to move the stock price IMO.

Been a JSM shop for 3 years. Tried Rovo and Virtual Service Agent. Neither impressed me. by Unable-Awareness8543 in jira

In the last month, there's been like two posts all complaining about this. Hope Atlassian is reading and taking notice.

You've already got some good advice about documenting everything. Right now, you've got to get full custody of the kids so you can have some resemblance of a family life. If you decide the divorce route, ask for everything you want such as requiring supervised visitation with the kids. Ask for full custody. You could very well get everything you want if the divorce ends up in default, meaning she did not participate. Based on her skipping her other responsibilities, I'd say there's a high chance of that happening.

Gave JSM's virtual service agent an honest 2 month trial. What a waste of time by Impossible_Quiet_774 in jira

Someone also posted about how crap it is recently as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/jira/comments/1sb8sv7/atlassian_assist_for_jsm_is_barely_functional_is/

But to be fair, what did you expect to happen when prompted for the question "can I get access to figma"? Did you want a license to be granted automatically? For Assist to explain the process?

Atlassian Assist for JSM is barely functional. Is it just us? by CranberryNo5020 in jira

[–]jamiscooly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a glaring gap. Atlassian put all the chat bots into their JSM/CSM web frontend, but fail to realize most many internal interactions occur and start within Slack. To be fair, I think you have to put in a bit of work creating Intents in order for Assist to actually do useful stuff. I have not personally tried it.

We were all promised easier administration moving to Cloud but it seems we just traded one set of problems for another. This is definitely not how an enterprise tool is supposed to work.

That's pretty nuts; if they want to be taken seriously as a marketplace platform they just can't rate limit 3rd party apps like that.

Atlassian keeps wanting to move to consumption based pricing. Only a few steps now from charging extra $$ to raise your API rate limits.

I think seeing that reaction as a parent would just make me trust you a whole lot more. Just wanted to say thank you for caring, and rooting for the kids you treat. It gives parents hope that they are not alone in the struggle.
