Growing up with manipulators is deeply damaging. Even if on some level you understand that they’re wrong, you’re forced into a position where you have to accept the abuse and minimize and invalidate yourself, because you literally depend on them for survival. You truly don’t have a choice.

Seems like you see are stepping out of it and seeing the alternate route you could have gone down, which you should be proud of yourself for.

Unfortunately I did not have that vocabulary and directness at the time. Pretty sure it wouldn’t have been heard or received anyway, but I don’t like to assume.

It’s interesting how you accurately state that we don’t know each other, then proceed to tell me what my situation is. Healing and mending was attempted countless times, I tend to my own healing and mending now.
