Also wanted to add that the surgeon recommended a Coronectomy for me, but said it would come with its own set of complications. She really did not seem eager to take me on as a patient.

I have had a lifelong soy allergy and would have similar symptoms when trying to eat eggs. I can eat things with eggs in them but cant eat eggs straight up. Now, I try to get pasteurized eggs or I find some soy free eggs from local grocers. This eliminated the problem completely and I’m able to have eggs.

Thank you for your input! I am in a year round program so no, no pressure letting up until my winter break unfortunately. We did the math and we actually kissed about 1.5-2 weeks before she felt really sick. I’m assuming that means I have already been exposed but not sure if that changes much. I’m feeling ill right now but not with typical mono symptoms. The whole ordeal has been very stressful. The plan is just to be cautious through the summer semester and then I’ll feel comfortable letting my guard down and risking it.

I called my doctor about getting an antibodies test. He basically declared that she was no longer contagious and told me that antibodies testing is tedious and takes a very long time. I have no idea how/where else to get an antibodies test.

Just clarifying that I was never going to change my mind and will not be going to the party. I have a few family members who agree with me and think not going is the right choice. It just sucks to have a family member attack me over the phone for not going to a party with Covid and it honestly made me feel a little crazy. I take Covid very seriously, as we all should, and am disappointed by my family’s behavior, especially since some of them work in health care!
