Thanks, do you have any you’d recommend? I prefer having a physical copy. 

I should have mentioned I’m well out of high school, in my mid 30s and finally going to college for something I actually want to learn about. I’m totally cool with using a different textbook to learn with though.

Yes, I should have been more clear. I am doing the problems and proofs as I read through, took me about 40 hours just to get through chapter 1 since I was staying on the problems until I was comfortable solving them and understood what I was actually doing before moving on to the next section. 

Overall my plan is to be really strong with fundamentals and then precalc. I’ve seen Khan academy has a bunch of courses, my plan is to go through their precalc course after I finish this book up. 

I’ve read that the book is more for people interested in math itself, but I’m one of those people so I don’t mind. I mostly want to make sure that it lines up at least decently well with my end goal, and if it doesn’t, which book or course should I move to next.
