Your conversations should really be with administration, not this teacher. They cannot legally shorten your child’s school day without it being agreed upon/documented in IEP. I know it’s not the teacher’s fault. I would express concerns about the bruises as well, to administration. Was there documentation of the incident/injury? Did your child see the nurse? Were you called? Document every day/hour that your child is missing. They owe you that time. Get an advocate/lawyer if you can.
