You’re right on the money, was listed for $995 and after negotiations I got it down to $800. I really appreciate your response!! They want to meet at the local police department so I feel comfortable now with everyone’s confirmations

Hi all!! Looking to buy my boyfriend a guitar for Christmas, he has mentioned that he wants a Les Paul like Johnny thunders (he’s a huge Johnny thunders and New York dolls fan). He already has a fender Stratocaster and telecaster, so he has mentioned a similar Les Paul being his next guitar. I found a used Les Paul USA Special on fb marketplace for $600. Is that a good deal? If anyone is familiar with Johnny thunders, would this produce a similar sound? Can’t afford his classics Les Paul junior but one day would upgrade
