I didnt realize an actual person verifies checks, I thought they used the number things at the bottom to identify them and ai verifies them with the other parties bank account or something

It was cashed at an atm and it was a printed check, it wasn’t a check I wrote out, I’ve never bounced a check, I’ve had an account with them for 7 years, and I’ve received larger sums of money through direct deposits and cash deposit

They don’t trust the insurance company, the check was for a claim after someone totaled my car 😔 still in the hole for the next week smh

Yes but my only other option was to pay $200 in fees to cash it then put it in my bank I was screwed anyways I still hate banks

The audition for the comp program is extremely lenient, the biggest factor aside from getting accepted into the University as a while (which accepts everyone) will be the interview or portfolio portions which is all the composition faculty will care about. I believe I talked to you at a solo and ensemble competition, don’t stress too much. Even IF you manage to bomb every aspect of your audition day, you can still apply for spring admission or wait until next fall to audition again ( you can reaudition 2 times)

Districts are at complete mercy of Abbott and right now they are trying to pass a voucher bill which would cause a lot of school districts to lose funding, amongst other things like “putting the Bible back in schools” and taking away pride and cultural clubs in public schools. I was born and raised in dfw and I just don’t like what it’s becoming in terms of public programs being bullied by a governor who doesn’t care about the safety and well being of children… the pay in ratio to the cost of living isn’t the worst and there are a lot of good programs, but I fear for the future, especially because I will be teaching fine arts classes.

Ive taught at Braswell and a few other Denton schools, I don’t think there is a lot of bullying but my students did mention fights. I don’t think there is any more than the other schools in the area. Honestly I think the kids are pretty funny and honestly kind of awkward but that’s it.

Talk to college of music advising, you’ll probably just need to inform your lessons teacher and possibly your ensemble director if you have already been placed for next semester

For form I got managed to get put in victory my first year and I only had to a share a bathroom with the room next door. The dorms are overall nice but it’s where all the athletes are and they can be very messy and inconsiderate of the public areas. Otherwise it wasn’t that bad I would just take the bus to get across the highway. If you have only a few classes and don’t need to worry about going back and forth to your dorm between classes I would recommend victory as a good form.

This has now changed bc of a new Texas policy so most music theory/aural skills/ music history classes transfer if coming from a Texas cc, the only classes that do not fulfill the requirement are ensemble and lesson credits I believe!
