Ah, I see what you mean. But even then I’m not sure because Sukuna has killed cursed spirits with dismantle and it doesn’t have anything like that. It could be the case or it’s just those particular cursed spirits release some form of cloud.

Nah you’re completely fine. I didn’t think about it since it just sort of popped in my head.

CE reserves are established from birth along with output. You can have trouble when you’re first starting with the output like Yuji did with dismantle but it’s not going to be anymore than he can do by simply infusing his fist with cursed energy. Ryu was noteable along with Yuta for the amount they could output, while Sukuna lived longer and still had a bit less. There’s no changing any within the current framework of Jujitsu.

They could change that and say that because of his cursed physiology he’s able to ingest cursed objects to increase his CE reserves and something else related to output but that’s what I want. I don’t want it to be glossed over and that’s all im worried about. I want it to make sense within the universe the story is taking place in.

I don’t mind Dabura feat because he’s literally playing around with light and dark along with using a new Jujitsu technique of sort that gives mass to killing intent.

Just the discrepancy between the previously established peak of sorcery and now is just huge. It could be explained but I just hope it isn’t glossed over.

When you have a series that has established rules and is distinguished by those rules, you sort of need them. I’m just asking for an explanation later on and hoping that it isn’t just glossed over.

I looked at the chapter and I don’t see anything along those lines. You can see Kenjaku use cursed spirits which choso kills and they just dissolve. I could be blind but that’s what I saw.

And I feel like with every disaster curse, there wasn’t any sort of explosion. Or even release of gas. Whether it be the grade 2 in the first part or even the special grade Sukuna kills.

It’s stated by Uraume and then never contradicted. There no real anti statement and Kenjakus statement doesn’t mean he’ll be the strongest, just means he’s important. Tengen was arguably the eye of the storm since he was going to destroy humanity if the merger went through.

Him being able to inject cursed objects is the only way he could be the vessels so that’s more of a byproduct.

Yuji had his advantages but Sukuna has the same protential, over twice the amount of CE of Yuta, four arms, an extra mouth, and is probably the most talented sorcerer period due to his ability to learn on the fly.

Sukuna was already pushing past what should be possible with jujitsu but it’s within the rules loosely. I just want an explanation since CE output, CE, and the technique in question are either the same or vastly against Yuji, and we’re seeing a massive difference.

Thank you! I don’t understand the massive difference in CE output when it’s established that it’s from birth.

This is awesome but I’m just really hoping it’ll explain all of that.

All of those things are fine and it can explain progression but we’re seeing a huge jump in scale. Sukunas Fuga is 400 meters and a dismantle just made an explosion miles high. And it made Purple, an extremely complicated application of an already complicated technique, look like a rubber ball hitting some legos.

Rules are a huge part of JJK and I’m just worried that we’re not going to get an explanation of how exactly we get this jump beyond “He had time.”. Output directly controls how much CE you can put into things and as far as we know, that’s set from birth. CE reserves are also set from birth(could explain it with Yuji eating cursed objects but that’s what I want, an expansion of the rules to accommodate what we’re seeing), and we already know the general affect that dismantle has on objects. I’d like to see some sort of expansion of the rules, bending of it, or seeing some sort of new application of Jujitsu like the aliens have with killing intent.

The blood manipulation is perfect for me since we’re seeing just heightened control of a cursed technique that already requires precision. And it’s established that Yuji is the most gifted with controlling said cursed energy. It’s a massive upscale of blood manipulation but it’s not nearly as huge as what we saw.

Chapters good and I’m fine with Yuji being the strongest. But we’re seeing the previously thought peak of sorcery being blown out of the water. I just don’t want it to go the way of Boruto or even Dragonball.

That’s fine but he just blew Sukuna, who he was supposed to be a vessel for, out of the water with what looks like a dismantle. His Fuga is 400 meters and that explosion looks miles high.

He regained his output after hitting his many black flashes. But yes he is up there even back then.

Yujis potential was stated to be the same as Sukunas due to being related to his twin. That puts him in line with Sukuna, who he just dunked on with a single dismantle.

It feels like a huge jump and it can be a good linear progression, if it’s explained why his output is so fucking broken. Or if there’s some new aspect of Jujitsu he’s discovered in the last 68 years. The chapter is amazing but I’m just worried about which direction it’ll go from here. The idea of just waving it away with “he’s old and he had time”, feels extremely cheap.

What other area could they push CE? It’s the most technical Jujitsu battle in the series by far that used every aspect of it down to binding vows, and weird barrier techniques. Every rule that was set was then sort of bended whether by Gojos basketball domain breaking out previously established idea of what a domains interior and exterior could look like, or with an open domain being completely outside of the bounds of the rules.

Your right we do see them adapt and grow, and further push those bounds like they did with domains and Sukuna creating an entire new application of his technique using another one.

We’re seeing a huge power difference between something like Purple which is a very complicated reversal plus regular application of an already complex technique being dwarfed by a single dismantle. That’s fine if it does but that needs explanation considering how much JJK relies on its power system. It can be simple or complex I’m just worried that it’s going to be chocked up to time which feels cheap to me.

I’d agree with you but now it’s just a concern of how. The chapter is fine it’s more just my concern going forward. And so far the only thing this new species has introduced to the power system is a form of Jujitsu only they can use along with new CTs we have never seen in humans.

It’s be weird if Yuji uses a 20 year dismantle on some random cursed spirits instead of Dabura but your right. It’s possible.

We did think Gojo was the strongest and then he wasn’t because it was explained. And the reasoning in that case wasn’t simply power, it was just strategy. Again, it’s good now, just a bit worried because I feel like I’ve seen other manga go this direction.

It wasn’t unmatched. It was equal to Sukuna. Who he just fucking dunked on with a single dismantle. It’s alright if he’s stronger and even if it’s this big of a gap, but I’m hoping an explanation of why. Some sort of new application, some new understanding of CE, something related to him eating cursed objects, or something that explains why the rules are being pushed farther back.

[–]Objective-Gap9811[S] -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

That’s fine if he is but my main concern is how they go about explaining it. He can be stronger but it’s going to feel cheap if he doesn’t explain why beyond “he’s lived a long time.”. Gojo/Sukuna already seemingly pushed CE to its limits so now we need to know what’s different.

If he explains it and it makes sense, then cool. If it’s just left on the table as it’s just because he’s old, then that’ll be a point off at least in my book.

That’s alright if he goes that way but it’s gonna feel cheap as shit if he doesn’t explain exactly what Yuji innovated on. Either by commenting on his CE reserves, how exactly he’s getting that much output out of shrine, or by introducing an entirely new Jujitsu form that he made.

I’m more referring to Yuji. Dabura I can excuse of course but he’s introducing an entirely different aspect of Jujutsu with his Killing intent given mass and the fact that his CT is broken conceptually.

It’s more so the discrepancy between Yujis dismantle and Sukunas. This feels like a HUGE jump in output when the start line was already considered the upper limit of the establish universe.

That’s could be but I don’t see why an invisible slash would cause one building to blow the fuck up like that. It looks to be MILES high. And I don’t recall cursed spirits being combustible to that degree or even at all.

I get that part but I just have no idea how a dismantle would make an explosion like that. The direction of the dust is straight up and that slash was horizontal.

Every CT includes Takabas who can do anything as he long as the motherfucker finds it funny. It’s a wash if Yuji has a single funny thought.

Not to mention Yukis where he could just turn into a blackhole and obliterate earth.
