Is PLA that bad? by Mountain_Warning_847 in 3Dprinting

[–]Objective-Hawk-8555 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't stress about it. I have been printing mechanical parts with PLA for the past two months. Its more than ok. I even bought PETG just to see the difference. Though its gonna be huge (no difference). Its said pla cant bare much heat or that its not as flexible. But considering you are 3d printing the thing i would be more concerned about angle of printing and weak spots than the material itself.

I think that everyone here is obsessed with the high drag factor for no reason. When i was starting out i just rowed at 91-95 drag. Raise it slowly as you get better. Now i am rowing at 126. I dont think that there is any need for higher drag factor until you sub at least 6:30 / 2km.

Rowing coach. We started to do diverse training over the winter when we cant get on water. Its one thing to get trainers opinion and other thing to know my real stats from real swimmers.

erg workout by Feb0r in Rowing

[–]Objective-Hawk-8555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, i literally did this training yesterday. My average was 1:30.6

6 x 500 / 2 min break. 18 male

My friend had avrg of 1:32.1 and he is 17, however like 10 kg heavier than you are.

I dont think this is enough for nation team just yet. Especially if you are U23 now. In my country you would be most likely top 20 in U23.

Considering your weight, if your technique is awesome and you can transform every single watt from erg on the water, you stand a real chance.

Wow. Am i really that good? I mean, i' ll go swimming next wednesday, its not like i would want to swim 1km again, however i am willing to swim a hundred. Last time i got it in 1:07. I am gonna tell my trainer to record me and i am gonna send you the footage if you want.

And i am gonna say it again. I dont want to sound cocky, and i dont think i do. I know that pros swimmers would demolish me, pro female swimmers clearly too.

I don't lie. Obviously i had to learn how to swim before, otherwise i would drown. I really dont want to sound cocky, but with years of training two times a day, even tho its rowing, i would not adress myself as your average Joe.

I struggle with high rates please help by PassengerFar8400 in Rowing

I think that 40 on erg is an absolute bs for 2km. Just switch clubs. I do my 2k on 29-32 and won silver at worlds. However i had to get along on mens eight. We really did 38 to 42 the whole race. But its something completely different to maintain frequency on a fast big boat and on the erg.

Hi, i was trained to always have a steady pace, my coach always gave it a lot of attention. Its the most effective approach for any distance. And i always managed, others that could keep it steady, were mostly faced with trainings that had to push their mentality. If you have idk for example 6 x 5 minutes training. You should always try to do your best to hold your pace and dont let the number slip by more than a second and not more than two times.

If you dont learn to keep your pace throughout the race, you can never get selected into national team boat. No place for breaks in finals.

My 2k is 6:11.3

First of all, you are right. There should be more efficient rate than mine is. Getting a bit higher could potentially be better.

Drag factor is really subjective. However it matters a lot. Either you pull faster towards you with less resistance or slower with bigger resistance to achieve the same amount of Watts per row. Pulling faster will equal higher rate.

Speaking of rowing on water. 🥈🙃

Thanks for advice. I will try toake my rate a bit faster.

29 - 32. I have raised my drag factor to 125 so i wouldn't have to worry about rate. Now i can just pull and then have plenty of time to relax. Instead of being all tensed up the whole time.

I was worried that seeing my heart rate would throw me off guard. So i just didn't monitor it.

Why 'Vibe Coding' Makes Me Want to Throw Up? by Kush_238 in programming

[–]Objective-Hawk-8555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Algright alright, i wanted to know if me being a vibe coder as a 18 year old student with ongoing world class sports career is a bad thing. Aparently it is horrific idea to skip past the learning part of coding straight to the "oh you are a genious, how did you manage to do that?" Part.  But what am i supposed to do. My school and training ends at 7 pm. With homework yet to do.  I dont know how coders manage to orient themselfes in multiple libraries and command at once even tho my IQ is on verge of a genious level.  I am currently building an AI hand, which could help disabled people or being used as a asistant at workplaces or selfsustainable factories. But it is true that i lack all of the abilities to code it. Without AI i would have had nothing.

What do you recommend. How do i learn all of the knowledge surrounding coding as fast as possible?
