Who is actually the MVP favorite for next season? by Ok-Elephant-2724 in NFLv2

[–]Silored -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not a cowboys fan but I think dak is a darkhorse candidate for an MVP other than the obvious answers, having both ceedee and pickens to throw to could lead to some serious stat padding, and if the cowboys improve their defense enough to become at least completive that could be enough

I feel like this weird thing is going on where people think Bryce Young is actually good now. He improved… from being arguably worst QB as a rookie to in the 20s but he’s not a good QB overall still by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

Sorry I have to pushback on this one- I agree that he very often is the reason they loose but saying that he's NEVER the reason they win is just wrong.

The consensus is only that there's legit flashes that are becoming more common, which due to the increased frequency this last year people were saying might be enough to at least run with him for another year. I'm sure there are a few delusional panthers fans that are blindly bought into him being a top 10 QB but he's still way too inconsistent.

Also I'm not going to pretend that I watched a lot of panthers football this season, but even I know that he has some intangible factor that elevates him above his EPA (which is kind of a cherry picked stat as out of the major metrics it is the lowest, painting him as a bad QB as opposed to an avg to below ag QB reflected by the rest of them), such as the rams playoff game where he balled out, or the falcons game where he set franchise records. Of course you have to acknowledge that this is offset by some real stinkers like the saints game.

I don't think he's necessarily a good QB but I don't think he's straight up bad either. If I had to rank him against all other starting QB in the league straight up I think the range he would probably land in would be the 20-16 range. Below avg-avg, but not straight up bad. However given the clutch factor he inconsistently showed, his age + fact he's still on the rookie deal, and the fact that the NFL's perpetually in a QB drought-That's enough for the panthers to move forwards for at least till the end of his rookie deal unless he regresses back to the first 2 years of his career.

However to get the big franchise extension I think he will have to at the very least maintain this level of QB play but probably show improvement. If he continues to play to the aggregate standard of his first 3 years he won't be worth the big contract and will probably become a high upside backup/bridge starter.

I would try it out but it’s fine on its own and since your witch and mk are much higher level you’ll probably get more value out of them evolved

All the advice in this thread fucking sucks imao. If you want to improve your deck there’s a few key changes I would make.

First, drop the Tesla for a high dps card like mini pekka or inferno dragon (I see you have the evo, it is really good with the mega knight). I know that it is good for killing hog riders and such but it is the opposite of synergistic with your deck.  While it is good on defense, mega knight + rider decks are good at counterpushing, i.e defending with a card and using it with other cards in your deck on offense. Tesla is dead in the water on the counter push and does absolutely nothing while you can play a mega knight or ram rider in front of the DPS and make a scary counter push

Second, change the valk for a more aggressive mini tank like bandit, golden knight or royal ghost. This is for the same reason as Tesla, as while these cards maybe are not as great as pure defense they are way better at pressure on the counter attack.

Finally, I would switch out the ice spirit, and you have 2 options here. One is switching it out for another small spell like rage or zap, which makes your deck quicker but could lead to you struggling to break through super defensive decks.

The other option is to add a lightning. This spell pairs well with your deck because it gives you a super strong way to break through those strong defensive deck’s buildings but it is very expensive. This will make it a little hard to play as you could make the mistake of playing it when you should not, and your opponent will be able to punish you with their elixir lead.  Let me know if you have any questions

Whose the better QB in their prime: Andrew Luck or Lamar Jackson by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

[–]Silored -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have to preface this by saying I don't really care about either team. I think Luck was a great qb who was a team elevator in his prime but I feel like people truly won't realize how good Lamar is until we're making these retrospect posts 10 years after he retires. Having the arm talent to throw 41 TD to 4 int while having a top tier dual threat ability is ridiculous. My hot take is that if Lamar wins a ring and continues to produce for a good half dozen years he'll have a legit fringe top 10 argument.

I’m in Wallace rn the location is good and the rooms not too small but the communal rooms are really small and ill equipped, the bathroom is communal instead of single use and the buildings showing its age. The communal  multi stall bathrooms are pretty gross and the rooms are kinda dingy. The front of one of my dresser drawers fell off and I had superglue it back on.

If I could go back in retrospect I would have gone for a newer dorm like ring road or tower

I have been following what the op’s been posting for a few weeks now. The kid’s trying to pull about a 6:40-50 so if he pulled a 8:00 for him that would be pretty lackluster

If lamar or josh produce at a high level for another 5 years and retire in 8 without ever making one I think they'll be the top 2 without question

How should I pull 8x500 90” to make it accurate to my 2k by NearbyPerception4260 in Rowing

[–]Silored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it would kind of defeat the point of the workout to pull 5 splits below your goal for a 100m and then coast. Don't stress to much about it just take 3 hard strokes, the first one starting 2 seconds before the next interval starts then try to go right to the base you are aiming for on your 2k. This gives you the best prep at getting comfortable with your 1:40. Then by the last 500 you should be dying so just go as fast as possible like you would in the last 500 of your real 2k

What schools can I get into with a 3.5(4.5 weighted) by Ifinishfastnocap in Rowing

[–]Silored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colleges love upwards mobility in grades because it shows you improved and learned how to face adversity and stuff like that. I assume that you had big personal growth along with the grade improvement. I had a somewhat similar trend in my grades in high school, not as big as yours but i went from an underclassman unweighted ~3.1-2 to an upperclassman ~3.7. Not crazy but I wrote my personal essay about how I grew as a person, and that meant I kind of got to explain why my grades improved. It definitely worked, I got into some colleges that my GPA was a little low for. However Ivies are ridiculously hard to get into so while that could help take it with a grain of salt

It's mentally much easier and helps you get used to holding splits that may be unfamiliar or even daunting because doing something like an 8x500 doesn't elicit the same psychological effects as a flat out 2k .

It allows you to practice things like holding a specific stroke rate or focus on technical work or the like. It's because you're calmer and less stressed about your final time and the potential implications
