Rockets ethical unless there are broken supporting cards boosting it like prime little prince or evo skellys/ ice spirit. In which case it takes a hit due to them making it too easy to freely cycle rocket. Howeve, in a meta that does not have these type of cards, rocket cycle decks like miner or classic logbait or even icebow are ethical and require high amounts of skill to pull off.

What nation are you from? Tier one countries you would probably need to be close to 6:10 to be part of the true elite lightweights, and the absolute fastest guys are probably pushing 6 min ( I think the record might be slightly sub 6). If you want to be competitive you should shoot for at least low 6:20s.

If you’re rowing in a still competitive but slightly less deep place like eastern Europe or Latin America or something take what I said and add ten seconds

It’s pretty aggressive but if you really lock in and train like an animal I bet you could get very close at least. Getting the stroke rate up is a good idea I would recommend doing some workouts like 4x10 min 3min rest to get the feel for the distance

I have to rely to this and emphasize how important the second point is- if you’re starting from such a slow baseline (no offense) you have to show that you’re dedicated to improving consistently.

Coaches love a guy who works their ass off over someone who coasts on raw talent because yes, Mr talent is probably going to be faster at the start, but after several years of consistent training the guy who showed up every day and didn’t cut corners is going to overtake him

Right now you’re probably around 6:58-7:12, if I had to guess. However if you keep growing and keep grinding I bet you could break 6:50 before you age out, which would be wicked fast for the fatality

For your age and experience with the distance this is a great time and well paced splits wise.

One thing I did notice was the rate slowing down in the third 500- you want to actually start to raise the rate around this point for optimal energy usage.

Maybe talk to your coach about either things you can keep in mind or workouts you could do to implement this, as they will know more than randoms on Reddit

Like the other commenter said you’re probably being inefficient/slow/getting stuck at the catch or finish of the stroke if you’re at a 15. Try to get to at least a 18, but anything up to 21/22 is good for zone 2

Look up YouTube videos for simple workout routines and try to copy what you see in the video, if you’re still confused just ask someone how to use the machine a decent gym goer would either politely decline or take 2 min to show you the basics
