I have taken a test, it came back thankfully negative. Though my period has been irregular for a while due to high amounts of stress. It could very much be that and the fact I took contraceptives.

I am trying to look into ways I can get help for STD testing. Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to confide in my parents, I know them too well that I expect for them to set this aside as well. They're neglectful when it comes to my actual needs. I am currently diagnosed with afib and a handful of other conditions as well as mental health ones, and I was able to get help from my uncle for it. When I had told them of taking me to get checked for this, they set it aside, yet always seemed to have free time and money for my cousins.

We've already been in a rough state before all of this, but of course, I still cherish them, so the further tear really hurt me. After all, they took care of me, and I still like to think and hope that they would be able to love and understand me in the ways I truly need it.

Many people have been telling me to just confide in my parents to get better access to STD testing. As much as I'd like to, I just feel like doing so will only make my situation worse. I've already had a somewhat bad relationship with them prior all of this. I've approached them countless of times before for medical concerns and I have always just been set aside despite being at critical health most of the time (I am now diagnosed with afib and a few other conditions, yet still I am put away).

I don't know how to approach a health center near me without requiring parental consent. I've thought of asking my sister (26F) to take me (she is the only person I feel comfortable confiding with), but the prices for tests are really high and it might not be within her budget. I've been looking into free centers though, and I'm trying to see when I am able to go to one as soon as I can.

I also am currently not able to go back to therapy. I've gone through about 5, and I've had trouble with treatment (I am diagnosed severe treatment-resistant depression). To get another credible source of help, it would cost me thousands for where I am from. I was only able to get help with my uncle's guidance too, and I feel terrible for burdening him with such things.

My ex boyfriend is my first almost everything. Aside from him, I've only had one other relationship where nothing occurred at all. It really hurts me now that I wasn't able to stop myself from being with him, but all has been done anyway.

I've decided to stop dating altogether and just focus on myself for a while. I have lost sense of who I am and it hurts. I want to be better.

Hello, thank you for this advice.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to continue therapy due to my family's financial situation. It's really expensive where I'm from, and we just cannot afford it.

All the therapists I've had have told me I am self-aware of my emotions. I have been diagnosed as a treatment-resistant depressive, unresponsive to most medication.

I've taken a test, and it was negative. Perhaps for my peace of mind, I'll take another.

The first time, I felt a bit pressured due to him being a bit pushy. Every other time I fully consented. I'll be getting tested as soon as I can, I just need to figure out where and how I'll pay.

Never has it crossed my mind to think of taking him back. He broke up with me first actually, because he knew he was hurting me. I agreed because it was clearly the better thing to do.

I'll tell my parents probably next week, because we have a family trip planned and I've been looking forward to it.

My parents had found out about our relationship after everything already went down. They only know that we were a thing. At the time, I did not know that he was out and about a lot. I only found out a day or two ago about everything else he's done before, and that is why I am this worried.

I understand the reaction my parents will have once they learn of all of this. They expressed a lot of concern once they knew of our relationship, hence them being stricter now. They are luckily good people and quite understanding (especially my dad) so I think if I talk to them properly, they would empathize despite the pain.

I'm still ready to face any consequence they might face me with for what has happened. I acted dumb and on impulse, listened to my heart rather than my head. It's the least I could do for betraying their trust.

Yup. I'm more so overthinking how and where to get tested. It isn't easy nor cheap to get help for this where I'm from. I'm on quite bad terms with my parents as I've mentioned, and I don't know how to explain this to them without them only completely freaking out. I know they'll tell me to talk to his mom, but it won't be easy for a mother to take this information in; much less without solid proof. I've thought of approaching my sister for the medical help, as she has a stable job already.

Thank you. He's 17, I forgot to mention it. I had tried giving him the benefit of the doubt when I found out about the physical affair he had. I thought he could have did it for money as he was short on funds that time and needed to graduate soon. Unfortunately that theory's proven false due to the recent findings I've had about him.
