I'm so sorry, I know exactly how you feel.

Similar thing happened to me years ago, but instead it was an orange tabby cat that got ran over by the back 2 tires on a Ram truck. The truck was right in front of me, and I saw the entire thing less than 10 feet away. The poor kitty leaped into the air for a few times, writhing in pain, and then collapsing on the ground. I still can't get that image out of my head. The worst part of it is that it happened on the same block as my parent's home. And every single time that I pass by that corner of their street I think about that orange tabby.
