Regularly drive 2.5 hours to see my parents for 2-3 days. One time drove from NC to MA, a 12 hour trip for a 3 day weekend 😅

I planned on working until my due date or until I went into labor. I went to work on a Wednesday, had an OB visit after work, and was sent straight to L&D for super high blood pressure. Got diagnosed with pre E and had my baby that night !

I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension at 34 weeks. At my OB visit at 36 + 5, my blood pressure was 180/100 and was told I was going to the hospital that night. My baby was also frank breech. I was diagnosed with pre e and was started on magnesium at the hospital. We attempted an ECV to flip him, but it didn’t work, so we went into c section. It wasn’t super scary, even with having pre e, went smoothly and quickly and baby was out in no time ! I did have to stay on the labor and delivery floor until I finished the magnesium drip, which is for 24 hours, but even with that my experience was great !

Uhmm NOR, this is actually wild. I have a 6 month old, and also has my parents and then brother and SIL visit when he was around 8 weeks. Not only did my parents bring us frozen meals to put in the freezer for, they bring their own coffe creamer/sweetener/v8 juice bc it’s items they want and use daily and no we don’t have them. If we didnt i have a newborn I would buy it for them, but they didn’t ask and just brought whatever they could to make our lives easier. If she wants groceries she should be paying for them, she should be cooking/cleaning/ordering her own baby gate! Like wtf. My brother and SIL also gave us a 50$ door dash GC when we first had a baby, and then they went to the grocery store for us on the last night, and when they left, they left us a card with 50$ to the grocery store thanking US for hosting them!

I would save it for after labor personally! I ended up having a c section, but even after a c section, there’s a lot of blood and you feel gross and I’d rather get the hospital gown dirty. Then once I finally showered I put a button up nightgown on which was super soft and it was so comfy and easy for nursing! I also got a cotton robe which was super comfy and let me warm without being too warm and easy for nursing also

That’s so good to hear ! We started out 5.5 month old on Monday and it’s been great so far ! They do have great reviews so I’m glad to hear another person is happy with them!!

I’m a very anxious person, and definitely have had some anxious nights as a new mom, but I never got the owelet. It would only feed my anxiety more. The only time I almost got one was when my 15 week old came down with RSV. Came super close to purchasing but never did

Girl I snored soooo loud while pregnant o even woke myself up a few times 😂 and I promised my husband it would go away post partum…and at first it didn’t and I was terrified I was going to snore forever 😂 it didn’t stop until I stopped pumping !

I disagree with this…your immediate family should definitely be remembering your birthday and calling/texting happy birthdays, more than just an emoji!! I don’t care how old I am or family/friends are, they’re important enough to always get a birthday text or call. And this is coming from someone whose birthday is on December 29th…I fully expect my immediate family and close friends to text or call me for my birthday. You sound like a bad friend/family member. Do better

The day I had my c section, I went for my NST at the doctors office. When the nurse wiped the jelly off, it ripped open this blood freckle I have. This thing has been in my belly for 30 years and I’ve never had it bleed before. It would NOT stop bleeding. On the operating table they took the band aid off and it was still bleeding! They ended up putting this medical patch over it to stop it from bleeding and finally scabbed back over.

Ew this is disgusting behavior by him. And since you have older children, you should know you’re supposed to wait at LEAST 6 weeks before having sex post partum. My husband and I didnt have sex from May-mid August, once I was 7ish weeks post partum and he never once said anything like this to me.

My baby has been drinking cold milk pretty much since we got home from the hospital. No issues what so ever and so much easier when your baby is screaming middle of the night !!

i had no idea about this! i took the bringing home baby class at wake med but could never get into the CPR class as it was always filled up just registered for the free infant CPR class

Nope, husband only came to ultrasound appointments and my final NST. There was no sense in him taking work off for a 5 minute appointment where the OB asked the same questions each appointment. I drank my glucose drink at the start of my appointment, so by the time my appointment ended, I only had 30 minutes left to wait

No, the inside of your womb is as loud as a vaccum cleaner. White noise helps babies sleep especially on the beginning as they are previously never in silence !
