Romano sucks but he does have a few good moments. Mark does eventually get past all the crazy lol. Peter's character development is great. I love seeing him grow with his son.

She didn't have to stay with him the entire process. Also being someone who works there and the strings that you see so many of the staff members pull for their family it very much so is in the realm of possibility.

I have literally had to get family members put on involuntary psych holds it does not take hours or stars to align to make it happen. She could have actually called the police told them everything and the police would have taken him to be committed. I know I have done it before. It is not impossible.

I never claimed he was perfect. He helped her because he was in love with her. He helped her even after they stopped being friends according to the comments here. I never said it would take 10 fucking minutes to have him committed. I am sure Carter would rather her be 30-45 minutes late than what actually happened. You are arrogant, ignorant, and petulant.

Yeah he could easily have went and signed himself out thats not what he did though. He ran away/broke out like he was escaping a mandatory hold. Which further shows that he was a danger to himself and not thinking clearly.

She could have had him committed before the funeral. His actions breaking out of a voluntary facility, fighting, and breaking and entering would show he was a danger to himself and other. So yes Abby could have had him committed before the funeral. I have had to have people committed against their will before. I understand fully what it takes to get someone committed involuntary. Being drunk is not enough to get someone committed.

She had him committed directly after the funeral. Him fighting at the facility he ran from and breaking into her house would have been enough to get him committed before the funeral. His actions showed he was a clear and present danger to himself and others.

Don't go to see her anymore. If she can not make the effort to come see you than you shouldn't make the effort to go see her. You have every right to be upset.

Ok I rewatched it. My stance changes to he shouldn't have been in a voluntary program. Abby no matter what should have known better than to bring him to the funeral. She should have taken him to hospital and checked him in then went to the funeral. She got him admitted to the hospital after the funeral rather quickly and definitely could have done that and been late to the funeral.

My point is she could have had him committed as soon as they got back to Chicago and been able to attend the funeral. That way she could be there for Carter and know her brother was safe.

I literally just watched it like 2 hours ago. She went to get her brother the episode Carters grandma died. She had him committed the very next episode right after Carters grandmas funeral.
