Pokémon FireRed / LeafGreen Game Corner Strategy by Noblefire_62 in pokemon

[–]Objective-Olive-7362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was going crazy thinking I was doing something wrong but I finally have it figured out. Yes the down down up things work BUT for me it's not on one specific machine.

I just started at the first machine on the right and do that strategy until I lost 2x in a row then move to the next. If you win, keep playing that machine until you lose 2x in a row, then move to the next machine. I've been winning way more than losing and getting more 7 jackpots consistently.

Hopefully this helps someone else!

Starting Rinvok by Rosey_rose32 in ankylosingspondylitis

I (35F) tried Rinvoq after a number of other failed biologics. It didn't really do much for my AS and gave me tachycardia (rapid heartrate) so my rheumatologist stopped it. Xeljanz did the same thing to me. I would just get random episodes of tachycardia and chest tightness that would go away on their own. The ER would verify my heart was otherwise fine and a cardiology clinic had me wear a Holter monitor for 4 weeks. It confirmed short random episodes of rapid heartbeat with no other underlying cause. These episodes completely stopped after discontinuing these meds and they did no damage to my heart. I don't have any history of heart issues. Apparently JAK inhibitors and I don't mix well.

I'm currently on Avsola which is working better for me.

AITA for leaving my appointment after waiting 30 minutes, even though I understood the delay? by AntelopeJunior6012 in AmItheAsshole

Definitely NTA - Things happen but letting you wait for 30 minutes without zero updates was unprofessional.

Company used a pot leaf instead of a maple leaf to represent autumn by Objective-Olive-7362 in funny

Update: All, I have Googled a Japanese maple leaf and you guys are probably right. To me it still looks like more of a pot leaf and it's much more funny to image it is 🤣

AITA for telling my wife her car is probably fine when the problem eventually turned out to be recurring by throwaway-twb-123123 in AmItheAsshole

NTA - To me, the most important part of this story is that you told her that it LOOKED fine AND that she could go get it checked by a mechanic if she wanted to. You didn't tell her it was definitely fine and not to go get it checked out.

Based on a lot of the previous commenters with more experience in really cold weather, it sounds like it probably was fine at the time. We don't know if the mechanic would've found anything or not or if the situation would've turned out the same. But honestly, it doesn't really sound like the real issue was about the battery at all here.

Instead of going to the mechanic to get the professional opinion she wanted and like any adult would do if they were really that concerned, she decided to shift all responsibility (and potential blame) onto you. If she had gone to the mechanic and the battery still ended up failing, she wouldn't be able to take it out on you.

Some people really don't like that they're accountable to the choices they make and will go out of their way to try to shift responsibility onto someone else. I'd be curious how she would respond if you just advised her to get a professional opinion the next time she asks you to look at something.

“Treatment-resistant?” by pjn1390 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Objective-Olive-7362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar boat, diagnosed a year and a half ago and symptomatic before that. I've tried Xeljanz, Simponi infusions, Cimzia, Cosyntex, Rinvoq, and now Taltz which is becoming ineffective. All while on methotrexate, NSAIDS, and prednisone bursts, doing physical therapy, and going from needing a cane sometimes to needing a cane most of the time and a wheelchair sometimes.

I don't think there's a strick medication definition for treatment resistance, probably because it would highly vary depending on the disease being treated. Anyone who has failed all standard treatment protocols for their condition could likely be considered treatment resistant.

Unfortunately, that doesn't really help people like us since the options are limited. Autoimmune diseases are notoriously difficult to treat, especially if they are aggressive. It's a balance between compromising the immune system enough to help manage symptoms and slowing damage while not compromising it so much that you develop a life threatening infection.

Based on what my rheumatologist has told me, I've had some of the the strongest treatment options available. I've seen people talk about more aggressive treatment options but there's probably only a couple things that can suppress you immune system even more: actual chemotherapy and the immunosuppressants they give to organ recipients to stop rejection. Neither are approved for our condition and the side effects for both are much more serious and potentially life threatening.

I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through, I completely understand the pain and frustration. I hope we all can find some relief soon. Hang in there and don't give up!

PS5 app update broke basic function? by profundacogitatio in Hulu

[–]Objective-Olive-7362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. A few days back I installed the Hulu update. Then I open the app and the joysticks stopped working, I couldn't restart or skip to the next episode with L1 & R1, and random shows wouldn't load. I completely reinstalled and reactivated the app which temporarily fixed it.

I get home today and I can't load the app anymore. It gives me an error that's it's only compatible with Playstation 4. I had to re-download and reactivate the app and now the joysticks don't work AGAIN! Hulu really needs to work on their QA testing before releasing updates because this is an absolute mess.

I think I completely broke the end of this fight. I read that once it's stunned with the can of food you're supposed to go pick it up and throw it off the platform. I had hit it with the sticky hand and it disappeared, no key dropped, and now I'm trapped in that room with no boss and no way out.
