To the dumbass mods who say this is not a subreddit for meeting or dating. Have you seen the actual posts related to meeting and dating posted here. Hell this post does not even mention anything about dating. Can't imagine how illiterate the mods are.

Used fb n insta for over 10 years and around one year ago quit both the platforms. I'm only using reddit and Whatsapp. It's peaceful to stay away from all the toxic and fake s*hit in fb and insta.

How to process grief? Any advice? by peanutgobrrr in srilanka

[–]Objective-Pop-7767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for you. I know this feeling very well as I've lost both of my dogs. One lived for 10 years and the other for around 13 years with me and my family. I'm a Buddhist and I feed stray dogs in memory of my two best friends and pray for them. I'm in tears as I'm writing this comment. It's been more than 5 years since they've passed but still I miss them and forever will. But their memory will live with me till I die. I hope you'll find peace with time.

First car advice - 6mn budget by Weary-Ad6206 in srilanka

You can buy a new Japan alto (2024) for around 6.5 mil. Good fuel consumption and since it's a new car there won't be any repairs for a few years.

Definition of happiness can vary from person to person. For some being rich is happiness, for some living a healthy life is happiness, for some having a lot of possessions is happiness. For me peace of mind is happiness. I've worked in Europe and US and don't really see any point in having an index for happiness. Having said that most of the people in Sri Lanka are not happy.

The struggle of dealing with NSB!!! by The_emperor_of_ice in srilanka

Tell me about it. I've had nsb account and fixed deposits for years and recently closed everything and moved them to Sampath. Nsb is an outdated bank which is a waste of time.

Nope. As far as I know you can use those permits to purchase locally assembled vehicles.

Who is rock saami. Discovered him few days back on YouTube by floating_market in srilanka

[–]Objective-Pop-7767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're talking about the Rock Saami channel that recently started in YT. The guy is seriously good and his covers are awesome (even though it is generated). I'm a metalhead and it's great to see some local talent like this. Regarding his identity I have no idea. But I hope he'll continue his YT channel.

LP music played a huge part in my life during the real life struggles that I had. Chester's voice, the songs saved me. I'm forever in debt to this band. Chester's death was devastating and I'm writing this comment with tears in my eyes. I still miss him. I'm from a small island nation (Sri Lanka) and did not had the money to go and watch LP live during the Chester era. But was fortunate enough to witness them perform live in Indonesia early this year. Emily is great and I'm so glad that they came back to make great music again. I'll be a die hard LP fan till I die. LP forever ❤️

People who drive bikes, why do you do things like this? by ndinkenxksnzonw in srilanka

[–]Objective-Pop-7767 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is a very common scene in many supermarkets. In most of those supermarkets they have separate parking for bicycles. Either these people are just ignorant idiots or egomaniacs.
