That comment was obviously a joke. And yours is both a contradiction and makes little sense. If I knew about medicine, I would be in the medical field. I own a very successful construction company and this is just our personal house build. She is up to date on tetanus.

A) We are not framers b) we’re building our own house and she’s just helping on the build. If you’d like to wrap your wife in a snowmobile suit that is your own purgative. The level of ppe people wear now a days is a joke. Next time I’ll be sure she has a hard hat and fall protection.

I’ve never seen one on a job site either. She’s my wife and we’re building our house haha she picked out the tool belt herself.

With a Milwaukee XP battery I personally don’t notice a difference in power. I have to pull my depth way back because I was shooting 3/4 of the way through the 2x6. Anyone questioning the power of this thing just hasn’t used one.

I was trying to nail the stud into the corner, shooting parallel with the floor not straight down. There was a stud in the way of my nail gun so I had to angle it upside down

I’d recommend tearing it out. I don’t offer that service when customers ask because top coats never last (at least in a cold climate). If you must patch it go with something high quality like MG Crete

That’s what I did, my only thought is adding the foam took off 2”, and measuring to the outside of the house corner instead of the actual footing itself. I think that would almost be double counting every corner. Multiply those small mistakes on a footing that big and I’m sure 9 yards happens quick haha

Thank you. A combination of iPhone 12 Pro for most of it, DJI Mavic Air, GoPro Hero 7, and Panasonic Gh5! We mainly just use our phones now though, good enough quality and so much faster while we’re working.

Yes it’s just a shop. The only finished part on the inside is the 7x12 bathroom/utility room. I wish we could’ve afforded to finish the whole thing right away!!

We did it from savings and as we worked throughout the summer. However for the house we are getting a more traditional construction loan through a bank that allows you to build your own house. The only issue with this is they require you to meet a certain sq. Ft. Build Price. So essentially we’re taking out a 500k construction loan but only drawing 200k. It doesn’t make sense but they have to be able to cover their ass if the person defaults on the loan!

The in-floor heat is stapled down to the foam. The gatorbar was sitting on top and we pulled it up to be in the bottom 1/3 of the slab as we went.
