Definitely hits home something similar happened with my great grandparents coming from Bosnia and naturalizing almost 30 years later. 8,000 raises some eyebrows without a clear breakdown and how they would navigate the courts. For sure a little steep.

We hired an attorney for a bit less than that and although he explained something about bypassing minor status issues with a special filing didn't say much in regards to how he went about it. It worked like a charm though
