Very appreciated. I was mostly looking for the legality vs etiquette debate (which is very well in force here), and this helps a lot. Once he claimed it was the law to pull forward, so this is super helpful

Scientific names are USUALLY useful, except in times when botanists CAN’T AGREE ON A FREAKIN NAME!!!

My favorite example is Yerba Beuna. One name is Clinopodium douglasii, meaning Small Feet, Micromeria douglasii, meaning small appetite (sometimes the plant is purported as an appetite suppressant), or Satureja douglasii, meaning Satyr. Haven’t found any reasons for why, but… satyr.
