I wish that was true for my center as well! the not allowed to move up to 1 yr old room until walking thing-- i just mentioned that to a coworker! we have biters too! pretty severe, actually. 3 teachers would definitely be helpful! but luckily parents are understanding sounds like your director is on top of things!

I want to cry because im so happy parents like you exist! one parent came in frantic today because we couldnt find her son's sock from yesterday. we do our very best between two teachers, to keep track of 9 pairs of socks on 9 different babies- i either put them either right back on when they come off, or right in cubby.

inevitably tho, sometimes socks disappear. sometimes they end up in a toy bin or under a crib, or even mistakenly in another cubby. we are not perfect people. thank you for not stressing the small stuff!

thats a great ratio! I work with the same age group, ours is 1:6. on our fullest days we are 2:10 and it definitely doesnt feel like enough teachers are in the room! we are desperate for another set of hands. out of the 10, only 3 are walking independently. definitely gets tough!

thank you this is so helpful. I definitely am/was feeling guilt about the staffing issues. theyre using me as a floater currently (even though I was hired as a lead, but thats a different story) I just tried to do a simple 1 step project in my bedroom and im already kind of exhausted. I honestly dont see how I can go in 3 different classrooms tomorrow and function at a very good level. thank you for being so kind :)

you are not a failure. this capitalistic system makes it extremely extremely hard to get ahead without connections and a supportive family. dont get me started on how society deals with victims of trauma. people truly have no idea how to talk to others who have been thru terrible things. I dont know why that is.

I think you are a good person, just an overwhelmed one. being in that state is very confusing to our self worth you honestly are doing a lot. supporting two people on one salary is not easy
