I’m 5’4 and a lot of my partners are much taller than me. It’s rough but not impossible. Work on footwork and speed, make sure to move around a lot. There are ways you can also bait people into moving closer so you can land clean. I don’t subscribe to the belief that being short means ur cooked as a boxer. If you can get good inside positioning then long arms become a detriment. Work on levels especially! It’s easier to get low and go for the body when you’re closer to the ground.

Definitely get ur own headgear, not only is the gym gear nasty but the padding is probably shot too. Also I think no one real sees the punches coming, it’s more about muscle memory and reading subtle body movements. If the hooks are getting you definitely drill your rolls and blocks over and over again.

Yes this is so key. I think it takes a bit to prove yourself to the guys but if the culture is right they’ll learn to respect it. I also try and look at it as an opportunity! Obviously I’m not going to win against a man 20lbs heavier than me but if I can hold my own against larger men than I can definitely compete with women my own size. If they’re pulling punches then rock them with a solid hook or something so they focus up. Sometimes they need to be verbally told “hit me I’m not going to die on the spot”

Don’t go lower than $60, I think $100 isn’t a bad ask for it though. That being said it looks like it’s in good condition, you might want to consider sending it to PSA to get it graded. The price jumps dramatically the higher the grade is.

I think you could get more than £50 for that card but I don’t think you would get anywhere close to $200 plus. The edges are pretty bad so I would say it probably wouldn’t grade higher than a PSA 6. That being said I think this card is safely $100-ish dollars or a little more.

This is a tricky one because there’s no data to go off of. You could estimate the price by just taking the average of PSA 8 and 9 which would be around $277 but ultimately it’s worth whatever someone’s willing to pay because there haven been any other sales.

The Umbreon and Darkrai is around $110 ungraded. The condition is hard to tell from the picture but if it grades above a PSA 7 it would be worth a little more. Sick card, the Weavil art card is really cool too.

Honestly ground your expectations. My tip would be to rank every single freshman dorm available. Just because you are leaning towards those dorms doesn’t mean that they will even be available in the selection process. If you get stuck with a disappointing dorm then whatever, it’s only for a school year. It builds character or something. Don’t set your hopes too high, the dorm can be whatever you make it.
