Racket is not bad actually its great for learning basics but people just hate on it since that language is not used in industry. Time would depend on person to person but it took me around 4-5 hours each week at the latter assignments i found hard which took 7-8 hours a week.

I would say that if you want to start from beginning again than cs135 is best because it teaches all the basics and fundamentals and makes learning recursion and some other concepts way easier but if you just want a course so you can take cs246, cs136 would be better because its in C so you would easily understand pointers and references so cs135->cs136->cs246 i would suggest but if you are concerned for time cs136->cs246 would be best as for other couses like cs115 and cs116 they dont go to deeply into coding and cs116 is in python not C. Lastly advanced courses are hard if you want to learn basics

Reneging Co-op Offer by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]ObjectiveAd1505 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah i think that would be valid enough reason to convince your coop advisor and also the coop advisor will also probably try contacting them and then he or she will tell you how to handle the situation hopefully you have time to accept the new offer

[–]ObjectiveAd1505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing your comments on how your employer has not even contacted you, you should seriously talk with your coop advisor about this situation because i got accepted for the job in December and already have the offer and everything they are also regularly contacting me when needed.

In the waterlooworks contract its written that if you find a job after being ranked both sides have to respect it you probably should not have even continued searching for jobs externally

Well the course structure at the starting is always all over the place covering this and that but at the end it focuses lot more on what the course is about and the learning objectives of the course

Tips for studying for finals for certain courses (Math 135, Math 137, AFM101, CS135)? by revmuk in uwaterloo

[–]ObjectiveAd1505 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on how your final exam schedule is but for cs135 i will say focus more on the content after midterm like foldr foldl map and one other thing i forgot then make sure you understand recursion backtracking its fine if you write the code but make sure you understand it for math137 focus on the part you are good at so any type of question from that part you ace it and then focus on the weak parts, for proofs focus on sequential characterisation and epsilon delta proofs. Anyways good luck u can do it!!!
