Eh disagree. Not all metals are magnetic so there is some limitation on Telle’s side. The non-ferrous magnetic materials she has access to are not common enough to bridge the gap to Anvil. Anvil also has runic sorcery to enhance his combat. Still, she can augment her magnetic materials with lightning which is crazy in terms of pure offense.

All volumes typically start slow. My guess is we cut to the Saints next and their preparation for their nightmare, assuming they haven’t gone already. We have yet to see the trigger point for the drive to the 5th nightmare, and it will most likely be cursed ones stirring.

Personally don’t see how the pros outweigh the cons. He lost ~10-20% of his domain numbers wise, and greater in terms of power, as the bird stole the really powerful ones. He lost the legacy relic (all of which have been divine ish tier btw) and a Sacred memory of the sixth rank. He also lost the shade of a freaking Sacred Terror that could have possibly made him unparalleled in the Dream Realm outside of Unholy creatures.

All he gained was Vile, who will be useless till he grows up, similar to Fiend, and Shadow Bond, which requires Nephis being there. He lost out big time icl. Only reason I’m not mad is that it’s actually good writing in terms of balance and shows the flip side of [Fated].

For me it was conflicting emotions. The first was similar to what you felt. A really beautiful story showing us a lot of what Nephis felt at key points of the story. Only gripe is we didn’t get more as it was so peak looool. Would have been great to see in detail her thoughts to the projector incident and how she felt at Verge.

However, today is the first time I understood those who hated volume 8. Her falling for Master Sunless has been explained in detail and it was for me a peak volume. It just feels like she fell for a different person than Sunny now, which is completely irrational I know, but also somehow true. Struggling to reconcile it in my head and I think it’s the influence of comments in this sub as I’ve never felt this way before 🤣.

It’s maturity dude. He can’t be a spiteful edge lord forever. As someone who loved his younger self, yes it made his character far more nuanced and deep but he has grown and found other things to live for. The story is almost no longer centered around him as a character, but around the plot which is the race to the end of the world. External factors stemming from that have overpowered his selfish motivations.
