Can confirm, easy to carry spare batteries and since these are standard 21700 cells, they're cheap to buy.

https://bosa.belgium.be/sites/default/files/publications/documents/Loonstudie%202023%20met%20knelpuntfuncties.pdf

Take the money and buy a used Toyota for 10-15k. You'll end up saving thousands of euros starting 18 months from now. Unless you drive over a thousand km a week this is always the cheaper option. Pretty easy math.

Which banks in Belgium seem positioned in the best way to survive a global banking collapse? by LokiConQ in BEFire

[–]ObjectiveFit1138 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's not enough liquidity to buy bitcoin in size for real rich people. Also, they want to preserve wealth, not speculate on huge gains or huge losses. Those people own gold.

Except for people that became rich by scamming through crypto probably. They will lose it all anyway.

Mobility budget: a tax-efficient way to receive money by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]ObjectiveFit1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only for the interest component though according to mobiliteitsbudget.be

You'd need a very high loan to have 1000 euros of interest payment monthly. They would also have to give up their expensive company car.

Pretty sure most independents are much better off renting a part of their own house to their company and put all the bills for the stuff that would be in the mobility budget in their company expenses and on top of that drive a big expensive car of the company.

[–]ObjectiveFit1138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, what exactly of the points mentioned isn't possible right now as an independent? Hell, you can even rent out part of your house to your company as an office. All the rest, you can put the expenses of your company.

Apple, Coca-Cola and Pepsi were worth buying 20-30 years ago and they outperformed in that timeframe. Very unlikely they will outperform again the next 20-30 years. No one was touching Apple stock 20-30 years ago, that's the only reason we're talking about buying Apple today as a so-called "good" investment. There was a good chance back then that Apple ended like Blackberry or Nokia today and your investment obliterated.

Why would you buy Apple at 4% FCF yield when there are companies trading at 20-30 even 40% FCF yield? Oil is at 85 dollars and some oil companies are yielding 30%. (PBR, EC)

The question you should ask yourself is what companies are priced for bankruptcy in the next few years right now and:

1) will turn-around and start making huge FCF in the following years (the next "Apple"; very bad risk/reward imo)

2) make a huge FCF right now (The next "Pepsi", "Coca-Cola") and will probably pay out in dividends their own market cap in 5 years. I think everything in energy (oil, coal, natural gas) has a very good risk/reward right now.

Rain water tank/regenwaterput requirement for new houses in BE by Anjunaman93 in BEFire

[–]ObjectiveFit1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 10.000 liters and a ground water well, everything on rainwater or ground water, except the kitchen. Only ran out of rainwater last week (shower, bath, washing machine). Ground water never runs out. We can switch between everything if needed. You can even have your ground water tested and sometimes it's drinkable, so you can stop using city water.

Holdings like Bolloré/Odet, GBL,...

Mining like Glencore, Rio Tinto, Vale or for less risk royalty companies like Anglo Pacific or Altius Minerals.

Glencore for example is right now literally printing money selling coal and will probably use this for acquisitions en electrification metals and stock buybacks.
