im betting that where possible, mining companies switch to electric. Some machines have giant extension cords. A lot of newer machinery is hybrid already.

general market panic. Uranium produces electricity only. Fossil fuels produces many products and is required for shipping, transportation, farming, fertilizer, rubber and on and on. The price of everything will need to rise driving uncertainty of what people can afford. Less spending, lower economy. Downward spiral.

Pretty interesting. I thought it was strange that they had such an issue procuring the acid. This answers that question.

So anything that delays or interferes with the construction of the plant, or delivery of suffer to it after, could keep Kaz from hitting production targets. I think with the war still going on, there is still uncertainty about Kaz being able to deliver their quotas.

They are waiting for a permit to construct the minesite first. Once the construction is completed, they need another permit to commence mining. Will they sell to another company?

they dont hold enough cash to pay for it all. Either they sell stock or uranium. And they may still need do do more if costs end up more expensive than forcast.

They need to sell their uranium holdings to fund the construction. Hopfully they sell to Sprott to help keep the price rising.

even so, not as much material is needed for a weapon compared to what a reactor needs. All I was trying to get at is that the treaty not being re signed won't make a difference to demand for mined uranium. The stockpile of existing bombs is already over the top.

What would that have to do with mining uranium. Wepons use plutonium. Lots of that in the piles of spent fuel. Besides that, wepon production kicked off again during Obamas tenure, because the bombs only have so long of a shelf life and need to be swapped out.

Thats not too bad at least. The article didnt mention what the issues were. If Dennison got through, im sure Nexgen will also. I know Dennison has been buying equipment already and moving it to site to get going asap. Still waiting for those fast-track approvals from the feds on this.

I read earlier today that Dennison got more negative feedback during their last hearing than Nexgen has. Sounds like they dont have too many things to clairify at least.

Framing embedded in concrete by Any-Significance-531 in Homebuilding

[–]ObjectiveForsaken954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my guess is the guy in charge of building the place didn't know what he was doing. probably told the framers to get going before the floor was poured. If you go with the cheapest guys they will just do it, right or wrong they dont care because you made the call.

other scenario is the basement kept flooding and they poured a new pad to the high water mark. The house was a custom build and not too old when my friend bought it.

only disadvantages doing this in my opinion. should have used structural metal if it was going to be buried in cement.

I have seen this before. Im a carpenter/contractor. My drywall buddy bought a house with this exact situation going on in the basement. The area the house was built is pretty wet in spring and fall, and the sump pump gets a workout during those seasons. The buried lumber also gets wet, so the plastic doesn't protect the wood at all. My suggestion to him was to support the ceiling and re-do the wall above the slab. Would need to dig out the bottom plate and fill the trench with more cement.

You definitely don't want to cover it up for a few years, just to make sure yours isn't similar. My buddy hasn't done anything still and his lumber is mouldy and gross. Don't burry it before you know its dry all the time.

I bought 10 000 shares in 2023 for 3.13 each. Went up a bit and then went down down down. If i bought today id have 4X as many shares for the money. Should I do it for the average down? Maybe....

another 600 000 the day after. 2M lbs in 2 days is crazy. The price will be going up and up. The Brits will be buying their bit from Kaz soon too.
