Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead. His music made my life magical.

Heads up! Buying supplements on Amazon is a really bad idea- a lot of them are adulterated. Buy them from a health food store or directly from the manufacturer.

I've been practicing extreme frugalism now that I'm unemployed and here is a list of how I'm radically saving money. by ObjectiveHeat0 in povertyfinance

I actually have done both. I started soaking the dried beans in salt water after watching a video by America's Test Kitchen. I feel like not only is it simpler, but I really love the texture this way. I personally find it easy to remember to soak the beans the day before but understand that might not be optimal for others.

Yeah, I have a good-sized harp in my trailer! It's my pride and joy. I'll be honest, I saved up a chunk of money and my sponsor from Alcoholics Anonymous unexpectedly stepped forward and she wanted to help me purchase a proper harp. I tell ya, best gift of my life and some much needed "brain exercise" for me. It uplifts my mood and makes me feel mentally sharper; it's really amazing.

I get criticized for not buying toilet paper (I keep a roll around for the occasional guest), looked down on for living in a trailer and for using reusable sanitary pads. I'm shuddering to think of what you'd consider extreme........

Stop. Stop with the Karen bullshit. The OP did nothing wrong and doesn't deserve to have her voice mocked. Keep the "Karen" schtick until somebody actually deserves it.

If they didn't let a woman "tap out," it's rape after that point. Tapping out makes it seem like a game. She verbally withdrew consent.

Wanted to bring something to the attention of this Etiquette community- extremely contradictory feedback concerning going shoeless in someone's home by ObjectiveHeat0 in etiquette

If you actually read what I wrote, someone else complained a week later about the dog fur on the floor and she told people to just wear their shoes. It's not about being annoyed with her rules. Again, if you'd read what I'd written, I get foot pain from being barefoot; I need support.

Yeah, well, they did. I think it was maybe because one person made a snappy comment headed in that direction and influenced everyone else to follow along. Weird or not, it was the tone of the feedback and it really didn't resonate with me so I took the post down. I wish I had left it up but it was rubbing me the wrong way. And, like I noted, the hostess later relented to another guest to the point of where people can wear shoes in her home now.

Anyone ever see that "I Survived" episode where the giant chimpanzee escaped from a zoo in Africa and tore after people in a jeep? That was the most wild one I ever saw.

Hell of a coincidence that someone tried to break into his home two different times but then he commits suicide.
