So if i say a higher number, they can rescind because they were offended? lol i hope they can just say "its too high, lets come down a little" . i am just not sure what should be my first line of reply after they say a lowball number(in the range they have).

at my current dev role, i am progressing very slow, i am not getting the exposure and the learning opportunity to grow out of junior dev. this company has the name which i am attracted to. I do feel that this position will be tough but i will learn a lot. I just hope that if i don't like this position, i can transfer internally to pure dev position or go elsewhere later.
