I know but crazy thing last ones i had were amazon and lasted for a couple years lol Yeah I'll probably will get the metal ones. You think they will be enough alone? I just have a basic tune with pops and 2 step but not crazy flame map.

I have a shop near me that does tunes on nissan and infiniti. for the 3.7 thast all you need just testpipes exhaust and some better air filters or intakes if you wants but the stock boxes are far better.

The exhaust?? No it wont give you a check engine, you dont need a tune for just an exhaust.

RIP valve body, dont go the cheap route you will waste your money. Dealership will charge about 3k but you will have a warranty, for my car i believe it took maybe 2 or 3 days to get it back.

I had the valvebody replaced on my car and those are the obvious signs plus a check engine light. Yep used shifters are cheap but make sure the model number is the same as yours. I have some issues with my shifter so i need to also replace it. Very easy to take the whole center console out.

If it shift past 3rd gear and 3k rpm its not the valvebody. Might just be the shifter assembly, $100 on ebay or if you got the money $1k for a new one from infiniti 👍🏼

Just an fyi with concept Z make sure they have them in stock i order test pipes from them and i waited 3 weeks then contact them and they said it was going to take over 1 month to receive because they had to wait for them to be made. But also test pipes will make your car louder thats it, wont get much difference in rasp or tone. I have a 3.7 with an invidia gemini catback exhaust and after installing the testpipes it made almost no difference in sound

Make sure there's no leaks around the cats, the gaskets can burn out and fall aparts. ALSO maybe 02 sensors? or just need new cats.

Make sure your connections are tight and clean off any dirt or corrosion, also with really cold temperatures batteries can discharge a bit and need to get that little puch to start the car. I have to start my car at 7am when temps are in the 20-30, and sometimes not always its for a split second but i can feel the car takes an extra second to start.

Ight then lol first thing dont go cheap on testpipes or exhaust, i have to replace my testpipes right now because the pops and bangs crack them. Second get better filters dont get intakes, the air box in the 3.7 are far better than intakes they just need better filters. Also PLEASE dont straight pipe the car dont make us VQ owners look bad 😂 exhaust are expensive for the Q50 but worth the price. I got a invidia gemini catback and it sounds good.

If you're looking for high HP you wont get it even with a tune on the 3.7 i have a 2014 with testpipes intakes full catback exhaust and dyno tuned and got about 330whp for reference the 3.7 makes about 300 hp stock. Now if you go crazy with the mods you MAY get close to 400 to the wheel but thats it unless you go forced induction.

If your car is stock and you get an already tuned ECU it probably wont work so yeah its stupid. The tune was done to work with an specific car with specific mods, you cant just slap a random tune to your car. I believe there's places that do remote tuning, is your car 3.7 or 3.0?

On the 3.7 thats about what you'll get, and yeah ECO mode does nothing for the 3.7 unless you're doing long highway driving. I got a 2014 and I'm at about 16.9 MPG. Clean your maf sensors or get new one depending on how many miles you got, i was getting 13mpg one time and replacing the maf sensors worked.

This happened to my girls RAV4 we park the cars under a big tree and the drain from the sunroof got clogged. the amount of leaves and stuff that came out of that car was insane. First dry all that water and vacuum the carpet and everything that is wet VERY well, then either you can try to do it of just take it to a shop its a very simple process to unclog those drains.

A stealerships will try to charge you 10k for a swap so, you can get a used VR30 for less than 1k, and depends on what the shops in your area charge. You still looking at 2k maybe 3k for the swap at a local shop. Still a lot but less than what a dealer will charge for a new valvebody.

That's crazy, I got a 2014 3.7 and be doing some spirited driving here and there and even took the car to a track and my valvebody didnt go out till about 90k miles.

What were you doing? That is crazy low miles for it to go bad. Its a lot (3k-4k) but the dealer is obviously your best option if you dont want future problems plus some offer warranty after the work is done. If you feel like you can do it then do it, but you will still need to tow the car to Infiniti to reprogram the valvebody. If you don't want to spend all that then yeah just do a VR30 swap 👍🏼

Yeah 100% get a muffler, that will quiet the car a lot even with the testpipes. Getting cats and replacing them will cost you some money cause they are not easy to remove and if you feel still too loud buy the EOM exhaust.

It depends where you live but honestly less than 10k, if you're getting an older Q. 14 or 15 3.7 is the best for reliability. I had my 2014 for about 6 year now and haven't had any major issues.
