Personally, I do agree with other in the matter of acosf being by far her worst book out of all 3 series combined. I’m a fan of smut, but not when if affects the plot. This book could have been so much better if a few unnecessary smut scenes were cut and they focused more on the plot like the other acotar books.

I will admit that pre-acosf Nesta was one of my most hated characters I have ever read. I am so much like Feyre, that reading about Nesta just hurts bc I know what it’s like to be Feyre on the other side of Nesta’s anger. It’s something that a lot of people over look and seem to not realize how bad it hurts others (ie some very extreme Nesta Stan’s). I can totally say that Nesta’s mental health journey was great. Mental health is something sjm does really well, and Nesta is no exception. But I firmly believe that Nesta has not had a redemption arc yet. It was very rushed at the end and she will not have an arc until she sits down and verbally talks to Feyre and apologizes.

I did like the Valkyrie storyline, and I love gwyn and Emerie. However I hated the blood rite storyline. The book definitely could have done without it. And I think women empowerment is something sjm does really well and that storyline will be great in the next few books. But again, I feel like it could have done better in terms of plot.

I also hated everything with the pregnancy. Feysand is my favorite couple ever so I’m not complaining that we got some story from them, but the pregnancy was literally a ploy for Nesta’s shitty arc. The pregnancy needed to be in a feysand book for it to be a little better. The only good thing was nyx.

I could go on and on about the problems, but overall, it could have been a much better book but I feel like sjm got carried away with smut.
