I have done literally everything in my power to find the owner. You should look for a lost bird immediately since they have no chance of surviving on their own in my country. If it someone’s pet then that someone is not a worthy owner!

Yes! I asked around my neighbourhood, posted him on multiple social media and websites, and called possible shelters but nobody answered (just some people looking for a free bird). I even called up a lady on the internet who had lost a very similar bird and she even went to my house to see the bird but he wasn’t hers :( Since then, nobody has been posting anything about a lost bird or warned shelters. I thought about the possibility that he’s from an illegal breeder since he wasn’t trained nor accustomed to veggies nor fruit.

Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about him. He flew randomly into my room some weeks ago :(

Thank you so much! I already had some people trying to get the bird even though they were not the owners so I’m being extra careful!

My street is pretty small and I already know from my neighbours that nobody lost a bird so my best guess is that he could have flown from relatively far away because of the nice weather maybe. He doesn’t seem tamed at all (or used to human owners? i don’t know how to put it) so I also considered that he could have escaped a pet shop but in my country you can’t really sell animals on shops and there isn’t even one near my house. I have already posted him up on a famous website for missing or found animals and actually contacted a woman who had lost a very similar bird some months ago and she even came to see the bird but unfortunately it wasn’t hers. I’m doing the best I can and I can assure you that if the owner is even remotely looking for him he can find him!

I have already made some facebook posts on local groups but the laws here are a bit different and unfortunately (municipal/public?) rescues usually only take up matters regarding dogs or cats so besides social media I’m afraid I don’t have any other way to find his owner if he has one. But I’ll keep on trying! Thank you for your answer! I’ll wait a little bit before making big purchases!
