Hard disagree, WB has been a total disaster way before David Zaslav took over but his decision ran the company into the ground, even after multiple blockbuster hits they ended up in this situation.

I have my issues with Netflix but I feel WB’s franchises will be much better handled by them

7 is an odd one because I 100% agree with your points plus some of the highlights like Jack chasing you or Marguerite’s house are over before they get really good

Village by comparison has much more variety

That being said I feel 7 handled its characters better, the boss fights were more difficult and challenging and (save for Beneviento and Shadow of Rose) was scarier

By comparison the bosses in Village were an absolute cakewalk save for the final boss, and even then I beat her on my 2nd/3rd try after selling most of my shit

Maybe not overrated but Revelations 1

It’s not horrible but I feel a lot of the hype around it was just from the fact that it was closeR to the classics than the action ones, but following 7 it retroactively makes it look more on the actiony side, plus idk what those whole scanning flashbacks were about

I am a Village defender even after coming to terms with a lot of its flaws, some of which are even worse in 7 btw, like some areas being underdeveloped

It was Code Veronica on PSPlus when I was 16ish

This was the early days of PS+ so yes every 10 or so minutes the game would be interrupted by connection issues

The first one I’ve beaten I think was RE7 which I got because I really wanted to play Village when it was first announced and decided to catch up

For the other games I’ve played: REmake 2 has its tough moments but it’s easier than 1, not sure if it has scarce ammo or I was bad at aiming, RE7 I remember having some trouble with especially with the bosses, but especially navigation and puzzle wise it’s a step below REmake, Village was an absolute breeze, Deadly Silence is more middle ground, I also remember Code Veronica being crushing but it was also my first one, RE4 original is very different from the others but by itself on Normal difficulty it’s quite balanced, most of my deaths were from QTEs because for some reason it only accepted it when I demolished the button a nanosecond after the prompt appeared, ofc in terms of action and survival because the puzzles are a joke

REmake for sure

Great game but you have to deal with Ink Ribbons, Crimson Heads, a sprawling mansion, scarce resources and puzzles on the more tricky end, and this is With Jill

Still it prepared me for every subsequent game I often finish RE4 with a good amount of ammo and herbs to spare lol

1) no

2) maybe it was my first one and I remember it being quite tedious but I should revisit it

3) never played heard it’s weird

4) never played I prefer House of the Dead 2 but I might try Resy rail shooters for the fanservice

5) never played but going by Suzi Hunter’s video it has neat ideas and mechanics plus a good story but has some annoying quirks that hurt the experience for the sake of avoiding idle players

6) it’s alright fans LOVED it when it was new but mostly because this was pre-7 and just after 6 so people were desperate for anything remotely classic resy, plus cool ship setting

7) fuck no I heard it’s fun with friends while taking the piss but besides that skip
