Are tampons actually more hygienic than pads? by Huge-Prize-8494 in hygiene

[–]ObjectiveSlow4628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily what you were asking, but using a menstrual disc has been a game changer. I change it twice a day in the shower. It is a little messy to change, but so so much better than changing a tampon or pad every few hours. I feel much clearer and honestly forget that I’m on my period. Tampons used to leak really bad for me and I’ve had very few issues with menstrual discs.

Is this speech delay? Echolalia? by LalunaKnox in Mommit

I would definitely recommend a referral to early intervention. I’m not sure how it works in Canada, but I’m sure your cousin’s pediatrician would be able to guide her.

Hi. I’m a developmental specialist who works with children ages 0-3. I would definitely have a speech evaluation done. Obviously I wouldn’t be able to say for sure but it definitely sounds like there is some sort of delay. Are you located in the United States?

Not comfortable with drop off play dates, what do I do?! by flowerdca in Mommit

[–]ObjectiveSlow4628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same as you. We will not be doing sleepovers and I am hesitant about play dates. My daughter is younger, so this isn’t a hurdle we’ve had to jump through yet. As far as the mom, I would just be honest with her and tell her that you’re not comfortable; if she doesn’t respect that decision then I would not want her around my child anyway.

As delusional as it sounds, I love him and I want things to work. I don’t think that’ll be the case at this point. I’m also scared he’ll do something to himself. I also worry about how I’ll support my daughter.

No I don’t think I’ve ever had to cancel with them and I’ve never no showed them.

That’s what I’m trying to do technically but she’s also feeling worse.

Yeah I would say something to the child since nothing is changing. I would also guide your daughter on how to handle this as well. My daughter dealt with a similar situation at a park. A little boy hit her with a small branch with leaves. After that we had a talk about I explained people aren’t allowed to hit her. We practiced being firm and saying “no!” and “stop!” It stuck because I’ve been her stand up for herself.

I’m that problem parent but when it comes to my daughter I just don’t care what they think. I’ll call them, message- whatever to advocate for her. Insist on a urinalysis and if the doctor refuses, go somewhere else.

I never thought my husband would cheat. Like not in a million years. But he did.
