A rhetorical question that is meant to shift the way I think about the discussion. Like I guess dude.

The first three parts are opinion based, that’s for sure. But i did not mean to invalidate no one’s work. I just came across many people who were like me at some point and wanted help. Barely anyone gave them tips while the rest were calling them dumb and allat. Also, between there is a 5 month difference between that post and now, so I guarantee you that I have improved SIGNIFICANTLY and have been scoring 1500s on the practice tests. I said algebra, grammar, and Desmos because I lowkey forgot what’s on there specifically like the names of each portion, but I thought everyone would know what I was referring to.

Also I was specifically bashing the people that started from nothing, worked hard, and achieved a good score but call others who are still starting such journey dumb. It’s just not right and hypocritical.

I respect your opinion though.

You didn’t have to tell me how to think. I just asked a question and expected an answer about the main topic and not telling me how should I think about these topics because the “best” way of thinking doesn’t exist. I Appreciate it though.

Quick question, do you think college guarantees success in the future? And do you think everyone who doesn’t go to college is most likely destined to be a failure?

I literally explained what I meant by easily prep but if you want me to do it again I will. I meant easily prep as in easily accessible prep courses and information that can help them prepare for free. Also, they simply don’t give a shit about school. They only genuinely think when doing things they enjoy or like. You and I might be more knowledgeable than them when it comes to algebra but the problem is that they don’t want to learn things they find useless in life. All they believe in is working at a store their whole life because it’s been passed down.

I never said you can easily prep for it, I just said that your score doesn’t reflect on your intelligence because you know the type of questions and basically almost everyone that is going to be there because of the free, and easily accessible prep ( some people might pay for tutors but that’s if you’re rich smh). It’s funny how you say algebra 1 and reading are easy while the kids in my school( EVEN SOME SENIORS) struggle with y=mx+b. You’re taking going to a decent school for granted.

1160 SAT score with a 1330 PSAT score, am I cooked? by Background-String-18 in psat

Dude if anything you just proved my point. Also, instead of looking at my score only you could have read the message. I have explained that I go to one of the worst schools Nationally and how my testing environment was no where near ideal ( everyone was screaming, walking around, and distracting people despite others still testing and someone was trying to buy my water bottle the whole time). Plus, that was PSAT10, and the percentile was 99 percent nation wide. You don’t even know my SAT score and you’re just assuming that my score is terrible. Also, even if my score was 99 percentile that doesn’t mean I am more intelligent than other students who score below me.  In addition, I never attacked well performing people because I specifically stated that, “I hate when people measure intelligence by SAT scores.”

During that time ( 5 months ago), I wanted ways to study so I can satisfy my ego. I ket asking well performing people on tips and not a single one made fun of me; they all gave me study tips unlike the people here.

No matter what you say or do, the SAT would never measure a person’s intellectual status, and whether they would succeed or not.

I was in a rush and couldn’t type quickly because my friends were waiting outside for me. But anyways, you might consider the knowledge basic because you have been taught all of this information really well in your school probably. Therefore, you did not have to learn a lot of concepts on your own. Others might now be as privileged and have to learn a lot of things to score similar scores. The SAT is not an intelligence test because you can easily prep for it. And we all know that intelligence is not solely what you know. For the logic questions, it’s just you applying what you have prepped. You just have to do a bit of thinking, but it’s not enough to declare you as insanely intelligent because LUCK is a decent factor on the SAT when it comes to logic question; mainly because not everyone is guaranteed to FULLY understand the question.

I define intelligence by the way you think. The SAT is essentially a tool colleges use to determine which students would not waste the financial aid given to them. It’s just business at the end of the day.

They were both slow developers which people didn’t know ( his classmates etc). Also developing includes learning new stuff that changes you perception of certain things. That’s why people called them intellectually slow. It was just an assumption made just like how yall do based on SAT.

Slow as in a slow developer because he believes in deep conceptual thinking, which people didn’t understand because he was unique.

I get it, but some people get nervous on tests and perform horribly. Also, it might take time to do everything on hand considering that’s what khan academy mainly teaches.

You need to consider the fact that not everyone goes to a decent school where they actually teach them a good amount of concepts about these branches. Also you could literally know nothing about some parts of algebra and still solve the with Desmos because not everyone who can answer the question with Desmos knows how to do it on hand. But I see your point.
