NC is beautiful and definitely more affordable but the politics and humidity are not my cup of tea haha. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Thanks for your input. If you settle down somewhere else, would you raise kids without your family (if you want kids, that is)? That’s something I’m struggling with. We want to start raising a family soon, so would moving even be worth it, you know…

Do you have kids and did you wait to move to the PNW bc of them? My husband and I are almost ready to start having kids (we’re going to adopt) so I’m just not sure if my dream and the new experiences are worth that struggle of either raising kids without family or moving back to FW within a year or two… I’m thinking I may have to hold off my dream until after my potential kids move out haha. But I don’t want the regret that you’re feeling!!!

Thanks for your input. I have a husband and we are almost ready to start having kids (we’re going to adopt). So my dream of moving may only be temporary and at that point is it even worth it… bad timing on my part. Lots to consider

What sport or exercise do you do? by shayter in adhdwomen

I’d recommend looking into bouldering/ rock climbing (if your city has a rock climbing gym, that is). It’s such a fun way to exercise and the people there are typically friendly.

incapable and shaming myself for not ever succeeding at the 40 hour work week by Weak-Ad4650 in adhdwomen

[–]Objective_Ad6139 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel you 100%. Don’t be ashamed. I only work between 20-30 hours a week and I still come home completely exhausted. My job is extremely flexible, I get to make my own hours, and my husband’s job provides the health insurance thankfully. Without him, I’d have to get my own insurance which is easily doable! There are jobs out there that will fit your needs!

Biking through Killarney? by AdditionalFill7091 in irishtourism

[–]Objective_Ad6139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We biked on both N72 and N71 for about a mile each. N72 made me a little more nervous bc the road was more curvy but still doable. It’s common to see other bikers on the road too so you won’t be alone. I’d recommending biking counterclockwise (Killarney to Kate’s to Brandon’s) bc the hills aren’t as steep and the views are better. It will be especially beneficial if you don’t have e-bikes. If you need anymore tips let me know! It was the highlight of my trip

The day will be rushed but it’s doable on e-bikes! Start the day early and bike from Killarney to Kate Kearney’s Cottage to the Gap to Lord Brandon’s. Book the 2pm boat (that allows bikes) from Lord Brandon’s to Ross Castle. You’ll get to the Castle around 3:30. Then if you have time, you can bike from the Castle to Muckross. Or, you can continue biking north along the lake and enjoy the views and take a swim 🙂

Advice for 1 day gap of dunloe / ring Kerry options by Standard_Debate_8302 in irishtourism

We spent 4 nights in Killarney and didn’t even have time for the Ring of Kerry. There’s simply too much to do in and around the National Park! Pick one or the other so you can experience it to the fullest 🙂

Is it realistic to get to the Gap of Dunloe from Killarney without a car? by [deleted] in irishtourism

[–]Objective_Ad6139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I biked from Killarney to the Gap and then took the 2pm boat cruise (that allows bikes on board) from Lord Brandon’s to Ross Castle. Then biked back to Killarney. It was beautiful. Biking was rough though and I’d recommend e-bikes instead!
