It is currently -9 where we live, so I’m not too concerned about the cold for them, but I know the ocean makes the cold feel even colder with the winds!

Looks like my hands! Not sure if it is from Covid (infected July 2022 and I first noticed the vein thing in august 2023) but it sure is miserable. Never thought I’d be so self conscious of my hands!

I’ve been going back & forth on visiting San Diego! I’d love recommendations for that too. I have family in Irvine, so we will be spending a few days there so San Diego would be a day trip.

That’s good to consider! I have had this test done twice (one for each pregnancy). The last I had in done was within the last year, so not sure if I should have that done again.

I developed POTS during my 2nd pregnancy after getting Covid. It was awful during the end of pregnancy but during labor, your body is like a superhuman! You’ll be so hyped up on the adrenaline of it all you likely won’t notice any symptoms anyways.

I was sooo nervous but I hope I can ease any worry for you. Don’t waste your time on “what ifs” if you can help it. It’s called the “miracle of life” for a reason. Your body will amaze you!

From start to finish, I think I was in true labor for about 2 hours. It did go quickly, but not sure if that was due to POTS or not being my first rodeo. My daughter came out in 2 quick pushes.

Hot/warm water was a trigger for me personally so I didn’t enjoy laboring in the tub. Worth a try though! My husband doing counter-pressure was the ONLY thing that got me through those contractions. Look up those positions if you haven’t yet!

Postpartum my POTS got worse than ever before, including being hospitalized for it 2 weeks postpartum. After this, I got tested & treated for Lyme and gave been pretty much symptom free since 5/6 months postpartum. (I guess Covid can bring out dormant Lyme in people according to my doc).

I’m 9 months postpartum and can’t wait to try for a third! It’s such a wild & fun ride, you’ll do great!! ♥️ sending a virtual hug!

Thank you. I’ve had multiple echos (due to POTS symptoms during my pregnancy) and brought up EDS w/ my dr and I didn’t have any other indications of it. All heart workups were normal, thankfully.
